A well-known ex-boxer and his group of friends were arrested for abducting and assaulting a rival in a violent act of revenge. The incident involved shooting and stabbing, leaving the victim seriously injured, and was sparked by a dispute over a friend’s girlfriend.

Police, led by Montri Teskan, ordered the arrest of 23 year old Parinya in Bangkok. The arrest followed a warrant issued by the Hua Hin Provincial Court for attempted murder, unlawful detention causing serious injury, and theft. Parinya was apprehended in the Bang Khun Si area of Bangkok.

Parinya, a former provincial boxing star, once commanded a fight fee in the tens of thousands. Along with five or six others, he chased his rival to Prachuap Khiri Khan province, angered by the abduction of a friend’s girlfriend.

The group ambushed their rival, firing shots before forcibly binding and transporting him to Bangkok in a pickup truck.

“The suspects used firearms to shoot at their rival group, then they tied up the victim, known as A, and drove him to Bangkok.”

Once in Bangkok, they brutally assaulted him using guns, sticks, and knives, leaving him severely injured. They also stole several of his belongings, including a gold necklace and amulets.

After the attack, the group abandoned him in the Rasburana area. Passersby assisted him to the hospital, where he remained for over 20 days recovering from his injuries. Once stable, A reported the incident to the police at Pak Nam Pran station.

The police investigation led to the issuance of arrest warrants for all suspects involved. Parinya, upon arrest, denied the charges and was transferred to Pak Nam Pran Police Station for further legal proceedings, reported KhaoSod.

"Abducting".  Was it really an abduction, or did the girl just leave one guy and go off with another?
