Swiss Tourist Attacked by Local Youths in Pattaya

So what is the truth here? Surely he must have done something more severe than just parking his car.  Maybe a business deal that went wrong ?

A follow up story would be nice or we are all clueless...

Well thanks for pointing out that the civilized countries are now tainted by the culture of newly arrived immigrants, from uncivilized countries other than Thailand.

Thanks again

He never said that, think the locals there were quite good at it themselves.

Agreed, a follow up would be good.

We've all heard stories of a fool shooting off their mouth and getting into trouble with the locals.

We've all heard stories of Thai's getting extremely protective over parking spots near their property to the extent of resorting to violence.

I think I see the reason for the ass whooping.

Why try to stop them?

Insurance will pay for vandalism.

How much is your life worth? 😀

How much is your pride worth?

Do you always run a way for problems?

The crime reporters will only print stories that the police have given them approval to print.

The police generally don't provide updates. (It might lead to criticism! You can't please all parties!)

Thus we very rarely get updates.

Why in God's name is a 66 year old man arguing with Thai kids?

How stu&&&p can you be?

These kids do not like us Farangs to start with....just move on!

If they behave bad, why not. I don't care if somebody like me or not and won't move on. I am 65 though.

You have a sick sense of "fun."

Maybe, but at least i have a sense of fun.

You sound like the new type of Aussie.Too far removed from your original Brit  ancestry to remember what humour is.

I'm getting: He parked in their spot...  the Thai guys didn't that and started beating him.

The drunk people driving their car around ?

To be honest he did look drunk.
Got in a fight and then started crying.
I think you are right. Some people just can’t handle booze.

It's likely Mr Manoutcher did something to provoke the punks. Didn't deserve a beat down though. Just another day in Patts I guess.

Patts?

Life >> Pride

Since when is calling police and discretely taking video of the incident "running away".

It's called acting like a Boss.

Rather than the meathead bouncer.

Served! 👋

If that is how Brit humour has evolved to, thank goodness us Aussies have evolved to not follow you lot.

Losing face is not popular in Thailand or most of Asia.

I suspect these kids were losing a bit of face on the Swiss guys door mirrors! Not a pleasing thing to find on returning to  your vehicle after a nice fondue. .....

If you don't protect your belongings, you are not acting like a boss.

Bit delusional there.

These Swiss men are famous for the quick tempers in Thailand, kicking doctors, bashing elderly women in supermarkets etc
Swissy was given an attitude adjustment lesson in manners. Thai kids just go around bashing tourists for no reason.

Tourism has recovered since Covid, the easy visa policy has had its desired outcome.

Time to crackdown now and make it harder for these undesirables with no manners.

They make it harder on all us nice people here.

Disgusting victim blaming.

Thai kids are involved in gang violence all the time, suggest you get off your bar-stool and read/watch the news.

I’ve never seen assaulted, mugged or robbed by any Thais.

I believe the story is leaving out key information.

Ah yes, that old chestnut.

I have no anecdotal evidence of it happening to me, therefore it never happens.

I've never been raped or murdered therefore all rape and murder victims must have brought it on themselves.

Latest anecdote:

A few months ago, I was on the way to work and stopped for an Amazon coffee. I parked my Benz in a proper parking space at the PTT station and my gf went in to get the coffees. While I was sitting in the car some Thai man slapped my boot (trunk) lid hard with his hand when he was walking behind my car for no apparent reason whatsoever. He could not have seen I was in the car or that I was a farang because of the tints. I immediately got out and (in Thai) asked him what he thought he was doing. He apologised, but I could see in his eyes he was belligerent and angry. I got back in my car, and he got back in his pickup where he and his pal continued to stare at me and act threateningly. My gf returned with the coffees and I drove off.

Don't kid yourself, the potential for unprovoked violence is definitely there.

If you think the Thais are all happy, passive and everything is provoked by nasty foreigners, then you are a complete idiot.

So a a thai bumped into your car at a pump.

Have you got a description of him?
I will keep an eye out.
