Transparency - the day that AI changed American politics forever.

I find it interesting that people are enraged by the idea of transparency. American politics will never be the same again for one simple reason - Artificial Intelligence read the entire spending bill just blocked in Congress in seconds and summarized the contents, To put that into perspective the spending bill was 1500 pages of dense legalese.

One of the provisions was a vast increase in pay for Congress as well as enhanced health benefits. X users cracked - the spending bill was ripped to pieces in realtime. This is a genuine "for the people" moment as people were able to track exactly what Congress was proposing. The amazing thing? Dick Durbin, one of the most senior Democrats, had no idea that the pay increase was part of the bill.

I can see some friction points in regards to the inclusion of AI in the body politic, but exposing pork barrel and stupid policies before a vote can only be a good thing.

It's been already provided by Politico for one year.

What was the "vast increase" proposed? Any source?

4% pay increase plus the added value of Healthcare package - the type of value that working class Americans will not see in the current economy.

Man, the Healthcare alone is worth a fortune.

I've got my fingers crossed that Musk and Ramaswamy can turn AI loose to figure out where all the money's being spent.  It's virtually impossible to correlate across agencies, with a lot of that spending redundant or just plain corrupt.  But they need political support, lest they be prosecuted (or worse) for whistleblowing.

I'd like to see simple bullet points...  Here's what's being spent on illegals.  Here's what's being spent on DEI.    Here's what's being spent on elective medical procedures.  Here's what's being spent on adults that have never worked a day in their lives...

And I note the Democrats new attack line, describing Musk as "President Musk." They are enraged that he has brought upon them the one thing they could not afford to lose - the end of their grip on the news narrative.

$44 billion for Twitter was cheap. And Grok AI alone ( part of Twitter ) has already changed the political narrative.

The Washington Establishment , Uniparty, Corporate Media , be like …

We  don’t like Elon cause he makes our us  cry, Musketeers .

The spending bill was reduced to bullet points by Grok AI. I have no doubt that DOGE will submit every government budget it can to AI inspection. On top of that private individuals, DOGE volunteers and organisations such as Judicial Watch will be all over the spending plans like a rash.

The only genuine - and to be fair - necessary objection - would be spending related to national security issues. We can't be having the Chinese know about secretly funded weapons programs. These are the types of black holes that the "deep state" can burrow into.

Utter nonsense.  The Democrats are in control today. The true lemmings are people like you that object to being informed where your money is spent.

Shameful and quite frankly, stupid.

Tell that to Mike Johnson

AI got it wrong. Questioning the credibility of MSM after this OP is a joke. The 40% came from an X (tweet) by Musk, there is no truth to it. Congress have not had a raise since 2009, they voted not to recieve the raises that were due. This year the raise would be 3.8% if they chose to take one. Begs the question to what the AI actually reviewed.

Mike Johnson needs to answer for trying to give Congress immunity from investigation. It was a wild inclusion in the bill, utterly scandalous and he should resign for that alone.

You've called that wrong. It wasn't AI that came up with the figure. Investigate further and feel free to report back.

That's why I said the figure of 40%, which is what seems to be getting social media in a tizzy, was from a X by Musk. Are you saying the social media frenzy was over a raise of 4% which would be their first raise since 2009? Do you consider 4% over the last 15 years to be a vast increase in pay? Maybe you are getting several different reports confused?

Exactly. Musk lied about it and the sheeps beljeved it... It seems he has learned from his master

That same issue is on both side of the line so its a good thing for the people and isnt a GOP or DEM gain but one for the public. Im sure both sides will come up with some type of work around
