He's been involved in that before, has he?  When did he and four others beat someone?

So you don't read the news much then?

So because he was going to a weed shop it must be the weed that made him do it. So by the same logic if he had been going to a restaurant it must be the food that made him do it ?

No, it's just that pasta withdrawal doesn't cause me to beat the hell outta someone.

A Thai taxi driver and former assistant village headman, Mr. Chiwun Chimphlee, 50, is seeking justice after being brutally assaulted by a foreigner in Pattaya. The attack, captured on CCTV, has raised concerns about the lack of prompt legal action.

The assault took place on the night of December 18, at approximately 23.20 when Mr. Chiwun was dropping off a foreign customer at a cannabis shop in the Kasetsin area of Pattaya, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province. A European man, estimated to be in his 50s, appeared frustrated while attempting to open the shop's sliding glass door. A female employee began to assist, but it was Mr. Chiwun who stepped in to open the door.

Without warning, the foreigner headbutted Mr. Chiwun in the face and shoved him onto a sofa. He then removed his leather belt with a metal buckle and struck Mr. Chiwun multiple times on the face and head, delivering punches as well. Mr. Chiwun fled to the back of the shop to escape the assault.

The attack left Mr. Chiwun with a ruptured blood vessel in his right eye, cuts to his nasal cavity, a split lip, and severe bruising and swelling on his face and head. CCTV footage from the shop recorded the entire incident, providing clear evidence of the violent attack.

Following the incident, Mr. Chiwun filed a police report with Pattaya City Police Station and sought medical attention. Despite providing evidence and identifying the suspect, who is believed to be staying at a nearby hotel, no arrest has been made.

Frustrated by the lack of action, Mr. Chiwun turned to the media for help. "It has been two days, and the attacker is still free," he said. "As a Thai citizen, I deserve respect and protection under the law. Allowing this individual to remain at large is unacceptable. He could harm someone else."

Mr. Chiwun hopes public attention will pressure authorities to act swiftly and bring the foreigner to justice. The case has sparked discussions about the need for stronger enforcement of laws protecting Thai citizens from violence, especially in cases involving tourists.

Police investigations are ongoing and no details on the name or nationality of the attacker has been released. Mr. Chiwun awaits updates on whether justice will be served.

I would really love to see some scientific evidence of weed alone making someone violent.

I don’t think any of the below will apply if you have a plate of spag bol from Cheap Charlies on Soi Bukhao

Rubbish reasoning.  As the attacker was entering the weed shop, he hadn't had any weed yet.

He could have been just as easily been raging from a meth binge and was looking for some THC to mellow-out a bit when the taxi driver got in his way.

BTW, did you know the word "Assassin" came from"Hashashin"?  The original cult of deadly killers who smoked hash as part of their rituals before going out for a kill?

Want something more modern?  Do you know that ISIS fighters smoke loads of weed before going to battle, including detonating suicide bombs?

Medically proven, cannabis can induce psychosis, the resulting agitation & paranoia can lead bursts of violence.

So it was the weed that made these people into assassins and ISIS were fine upstanding gentlemen before consuming the devil's lettuce.

So from this, it COULD cause up to 8 points loss of IQ (although a lot of high functioning people regularly use it), it is not known if it causes mental health problems, it slows down your reactions.

I'm not seeing that is causes a person to be violent from this ?

As such the need to protect tourists from thias should be the same

If true, this behaviour is completely unacceptable ... drugs or no drugs. Doesn't matter even if his precious little ego was provoked, this behaviour is unacceptable. The excuse of I was having a bad day OR the drugs or whatever made me do it OR  I'm normally  a really nice guy ask my friends ... this behaviour is still unacceptable. This individual must be held responsible for his unacceptable behaviour and punished accordingly to prevent this from happening again.

Because the man was going into a pot shop he had not yet used pot? Who ever wrote that piece of brilliant logic was probably smoking something.

Years ago I smoked pot for fun. After I became a licensed sea captain I was subject to random drug testing. I stopped smoking with not withdrawal symptoms. Everyone is different might, therefore, react differently but in my 70+ years I have seen lots of alcohol rage and steroid rage but I have never seen pot rage. Pot usually mellows people out unless mixed with something else like speed or coke. Usually the worst effect of pot is the desired to eat every cookie and potato chip in the house and then go to the store for more. (Biscuits and crisps for those bound by tradition and who shun progress)   : ) !

Sadly it is unavoidable that a few retards will mix in with all the peaceful and friendly tourists that come to Thailand each year. These thugs should be dealt properly and thrown in jail for a while to learn a lesson or two! A Thai jail is NOT a holiday resort, believe me!😆I knew an Austrian that spent a couple of months in jail, and that was something you will never forget.

It’s right around the corner from me. In sure the owners are trying to stay out of the spotlight, as they are foreigners, and provided the police with the information they felt was necessary. They can’t afford to lose what little business that they have.

It has also been linked to the Zulu attack at Isandlwana. They say evidence shows that the majority of the Zulus were high as kites

No problem taxi man.  They should strap the foreigner to a chair and let you beat the foreigner with a belt buckle, sounds only fair to me.   No photos, don't want anyone getting the wrong idea.

A bouquet of flowers and an appropriate Wai should be all that’s required to serve justice. This is Thailand after all and not Europe.

iIt's not really about Weed/Alcohol .

It's about the police not doing anything ( again )

I would say the taxi driver is worried that the foreigner will fly home before he gets his compensation and or hospital bill paid.

Now this case has received publicity it may give the police a boot up the arse and get them to do their job.

I suspect the taxi driver would be more than happy to get a nice substantial payout brokered by the police even allowing for their cut/commission.  Saves a lot of paperwork.

It's those damned drugs again.

No doubt this is a case of marijuana withdrawal - - > aggression.

Taxi guy should sue the Euro's backside off.

Probably some Spike protein in there too.

What a vile scumbag. An appalling, vicious, unprovoked, cowardly attack on an innocent man. Who was actually trying to help you.

You brute... I hope the cops deal with you as you dealt out.
