A Chinese woman was found dead after jumping from the eleventh floor of a hotel in Bangkok’s Bang Rak district on the afternoon of Christmas Day.

Local authorities responded to the scene at approximately14:30 after receiving reports of the incident. Upon arrival, police discovered the woman’s lifeless body on the ground near the entrance of the hotel.

At the scene, a handwritten note in Chinese was found, leading authorities to believe the woman may left it behind, and it is considered an important piece of evidence in understanding the events leading to her death.

The note when translated stated “I don’t know who will be able to read this suicide note, but it’s alright. If I die, everything from the past will be relieved. There have been twists in the past, but they won’t happen after my death. In the next life, don’t be my friend or partner. It will be unlucky for anyone who does so. 12.25.2024”

The woman, whose identity has yet to be officially confirmed, is believed to have been staying at the hotel. She had used a chair to climb over the railings, before jumping.

Authorities are working to contact her family and relatives, who are believed to be still in China, to inform them of the tragic incident.

Police are reviewing security camera footage from the hotel and nearby establishments to gather more information about the moments leading up to the incident.

Bangkok police have launched a thorough investigation and authorities are appealing to the public for any additional information that could help clarify the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.
