British Tourist Dies After Consuming Magic Mushrooms in Thailand

A 25-year-old British tourist tragically died in Chiang Mai, Thailand, after consuming magic mushrooms purchased from a cannabis shop during a Christmas holiday with his girlfriend. Shortly after ingesting the hallucinogenic drug, he suffered a severe reaction, foaming at the mouth and collapsing. Despite medics' efforts, he was pronounced dead on December 20. Following the incident, police raided the store, The Glory Days, arresting the owner and three employees for illegally selling narcotics. Authorities discovered 7kg of magic mushrooms in a storage room. The British Embassy has informed the man’s family, and investigations continue.
