Imagine Thailand would have investigative journalists who would ask these questions in public and demand answers.

And then imagine those journalists wouldn't be harassed.

And then I am going to imagine I’ll be a millionaire (GBP) next year……  😎

He also urged Thaksin and his daughter, Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, to reconsider their approach to governance, emphasising that Thailand is a nation, not a business venture of the Shinawatra family.

It was clear after he bought the first election that Thaksin's attitude was as if he had acquired a company in a takeover and it was now his to do as he pleased with. He thought Thailand was his personal Fiefdom.

This is working so well for Tony, I'm sure that Yingluck will now want to "come home so that she can spend the rest of her days quietly visiting the grandkids."

Thaksin has already said that she should be back as early as Songkran '25.

The Devil's in the details as she, like Tony, wouldn't be coming home to visit them (if she had them) in the quiet solitude of retirement.  The Shinawatra dynasty returns is to rule.  "Visit the grandkids and enjoy retirement!" "I promise I won't be involved in politics!"    Right!

Did he also say a similar thing to the three P's when the illegal military were in power?

I suspect not.

Prayuth was better. Now, you're all seeing what real authoritarian rule looks like. Hun Sen model of government on its way to Thailand.

During a campaign speech in Chiang Mai, Thaksin claimed he was coordinating with authorities in Cambodia and Myanmar to crack down on these operations, even suggesting he would intervene directly if necessary

Time to shut him up...

He is the government......just not officially.

Snipped from the OP.

"This has raised eyebrows, with former MP Thepthai Senpong questioning Thaksin's audacity in assuming authority to address issues beyond national borders - roles typically reserved for the government.

Thepthai expressed surprise at Thaksin's assertive stance, particularly since he no longer holds any official position, and warned of potential diplomatic repercussions."

And what 'official position' in the government does former MP Thepthai Senpong hold?

There are quite a few countries now that should be reminded of the same. Unfortunate where the World is heading...

When you've got the top of the pyramid seemingly supporting Thaksin, who are the traditionalists and conservatives going to turn to for support to oust him?
