Four Pit Bulls Attack Owner’s Nephew in Chachoengsao
Picture from responders. A man in Chachoengsao was seriously injured after being attacked by four pit bulls belonging to his aunt. The incident occurred on 30 December at approximately 17:30 at a residence in Tha Sa-an, Bang Pakong district. Police and rescue teams were called to the scene, where they found the 40-year-old man, identified only as Mr , being mauled by the dogs. His aunt 67, was frantically attempting to fend off the animals with a hose. Officers were unable to intervene immediately as the dogs turned on them as well. In a desperate attempt to save Mr A, the police instructed him to run outside, but the pit bulls chased him, continuing their attack. He was eventually pulled onto a police truck to escape further injury. The rescue team reported that even as they treated Mr A’s wounds, the dogs attempted to charge at them, forcing the team to move their vehicle further away. The victim suffered multiple large wounds across his body and was rushed to Chularat 11 Hospital for emergency treatment. Speaking about the incident, Mr A explained that he had come to visit his aunt over the New Year holiday as she was home alone. As he approached the house and called out to her, the pit bulls ran out and began attacking him. Despite his efforts to defend himself, he could not fend them off until his aunt intervened. The aunt stated that the dogs may have been startled by the shouting and were instinctively protecting their territory. The incident highlights ongoing concerns about the dangers of keeping aggressive dog breeds, particularly in residential areas. Authorities have not yet confirmed if any further action will be taken regarding the animals. -- 2024-12-31 -

Trump supports immigration visas backed by Musk: ‘I have many H-1B visas on
Hmm Ah, civil war. I have teams of Analysts in UK, Canada and India. We used to have Analysts in North East US, but they priced themselves out of the market. The offices now are maintained by sales drones and a few consultants. Its gotten hard to recruit now in London, as there is intense competition when you are in the Biotech triangle. Toronto has simlar salaries to London, but easy supply of quality graduates for my specialty roles. The backroom guys we have in India, but also a little team in ASEAN. The pay for a recent graduate in India (and by that, someone with an Indian BS and Indian "MBA") is about £6000 a year. That's decent money for a graduate there. Or it was. We are losing staff to big Pharma who have set up shop in the area, and they are offering 100% payrises. That's difficult to compete with and its breaking the pay model in India. This is one of then reasons that H1B visas are probably now in terminal decline. And its not about jobs being onshored in the US. The likes of Google, Apple etc aren't renting offices in India. They are making huge investments in infrastructure. They are there to stay, and will outlast an Octogenerian Trumpf. There was a time when my Indian analysts would go on about company transfers to the US, because of the incredible apparent salaries. Until I pointed out the cost of stuff there. My opposite number in India is on about 25% of my UK salary, but he lives better than me. He has two properties, maids, his own driver, and recently installed a marble bathroom in his townhouse. Ovr the years, we've noticed the new Indian graduates are becoming less and less employable in a Western setting. India's previous strength was the widespread adoption of English among graduates. Understanding of English is still very good, but Hinglish is gaining the upper hand (English with Hindi grammar), much to the disappointment of my colleague who prides himself on his Irish Nun education. The argument about H1b seems to be an argument about yesterday, and they don't realise the increasing irrelevance. It was always about race -
