BritManToo Posted yesterday at 04:00 AM Posted yesterday at 04:00 AM Anyone else watching Sherlock and Daughter 3 episodes already out, IMDB trailer looks decent. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt31322085/ Not sure how Brit Sherlock acquired a native American daughter though.

Rimmer Posted yesterday at 04:26 AM Author Posted yesterday at 04:26 AM Battle of the war films: Brits vote on their favourite WW2 movies of all time - which do YOU think came out on top? Director Christopher Nolan's costly historical thriller Dunkirk proved the enduring popularity of war films to cinema audiences in the UK. But it may come as a surprise to some that the £112million picture – featuring pop singer Harry Styles – has topped a list of the nation's favourite Second World War films of all time. It beat classics such as The Dam Busters (1955) and The Bridge On The River Kwai (1957) in the poll by Deltapoll, which surveyed 1077 film buffs, for the War Movie Theatre podcast. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14697541/war-films-Brits-vote-favourite-WW2-movies.html "Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast!" Jingthing Posted yesterday at 06:38 AM Posted yesterday at 06:38 AM I knew the premise of Hacks (multi year comedic tv series) before sampling it and wasn't sure it was my kind of show, but three episodes in and I'm into it. Actually from the first episode. It's very well reviewed but I'm not sure that I'm going to watch all the seasons yet. The lead is a famous aging female comedian and I did wonder if her characer is based on Joan Rivers, so looked it up and it turns up its based on an amalgam of famous female comedians including Rivers. Tried watching episode three last night, can't cope with Sherlock superior attitude all the time and the incessant loud music, so no more Sherlock and his daughter for us. 🥴 "Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast!" xylophone Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I downloaded "The Accountant 2" as I liked the original movie very much indeed, however this was nowhere near it and was, IMO, a mishmash of a movie which was all over the place and had none of the "intrigue" of the original. Also it looked like Ben Affleck was simply walking through the movie to get a paycheck and as for the plot – – couldn't really find it! 2
Mutt Daeng Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I've just finished season 3 of The Chelsea Detective and enjoyed it. Thanks to @oxo1947 for the heads up about it's availability. It's on TheRARBG. 1
