If Ukraine and Russia agree to the release POW on both sides in exchange I don’t see the need for private donations.

If the Russians are indeed asking for cash to release the POW then that’s an issue for diplomatic resolution by both countries.  Not us.

Your second request.

While I could be mistaken I don’t recall ever reading about other POW from other wars requesting what you are requesting.

This is reminding me more and more of celebrities on late night TV asking for monthly donations to sponsor poor bloated stomach children in impoverished countries.

God only knows where the money goes once the money is paid.

Will the donors get a photo and bio of the POW they helped release?

Just like the bloated children donors receive

well i shared everything.. and explained but i know its impossible to make you believe. so.. up to you. its all. there.. proved..

also.. what you posted.. actually.. doesnt make any sense.. but ok..

PS: ohh yes.. every POW come back.. will haunt you russians.. ehhehe thats why you scare

You’ve shared information but proven nothing about where the money goes.

Specially , what about my post doesn’t make sense to you?

So every POW will come back and haunt us Russians?  I’m not Russian and I would estimate 98% of the forum isn’t Russian.

Why have you not used “Go fund Me”?  Too traceable?

Why isn’t diplomacy working in this particular matter (POW release)?

I often see "Save UA POWs Now!" kids with donation boxes near MRT station. My guess it's some sort of local "mafia" - last year they were after Amnesty Int., previously - UNCEF, Green Peace, and something and something and something. For many years.
Maybe local school generates extra income, maybe something criminal - just pathetic attempt to look legit.

So why are you asking us on the forum?

Perhaps Zelensky can sell his yacht and use that money to free POW if negotiations have failed.

Why have negotiations failed  for the POW swap?

Charity begins at home. Maybe Ukrainian Oligarchs and Politicians might like to contribute.

'According to posts found on X, there have been claims that 13 Rolls-Royce Spectres were sold in Ukraine in 2024, with each car priced at around $650,000 to $700,000.'

Yes, Rolls-Royce maintains a dealership presence in Ukraine. Specifically, there is:

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Kyiv located at 16-16/1 Boryspil’s’ka str., Hora village, Boryspil’s’kyy district, Kyivs’ka region, Ukraine 08324. This dealership offers sales, service, and maintenance for Rolls-Royce vehicles.

However, posts found on X have suggested there might not be any dealerships, but this appears to be inaccurate based on the official information from Rolls-Royce's website.

Seems there is an issue of priorities here:

The U.S. has indeed been providing financial assistance to Ukraine, part of which supports the payment of pensions and salaries for government employees, including teachers, healthcare workers, and other civil servants. Here's a breakdown based on available information:

Direct Budget Support: U.S. aid includes direct budget support to the Ukrainian government, which has been used to pay pensions, salaries of public sector employees, and support other social services. For instance, in 2022, President Biden mentioned that some of the aid would help with pensions. By 2023, USAID reported that $13 billion in direct budget support helped Ukraine meet its pension responsibilities for 9.8 million people.
Specific Allocations: Various reports and statements from U.S. officials, including those from USAID and the Treasury Department, indicate that U.S. funds have been channeled through mechanisms like the World Bank to assist Ukraine in covering pensions and salaries for teachers, first responders, and other government employees.
Current Situation: As of the latest updates, this support continues, with U.S. aid packages often citing the need to maintain essential government functions in Ukraine, which includes pension payments and salaries for public servants amidst the ongoing conflict.
Posts on X: There have been mentions on social media platforms like X discussing this aid, with some users expressing frustration or criticism over U.S. taxpayers funding pensions and salaries in Ukraine while domestic issues remain.

Sources:

U.S. Department of State statements on economic support for Ukraine.
USAID reports on budget support and its utilization in Ukraine.
White House announcements on aid packages.
Posts found on X reflecting public sentiment on this matter.

The OP doesn’t want to read this article.

He would rather ask the forum for “donations “.

There is not any, not one, report of money changing hands over prisoner swaps.

I find it fanciful to believe such a thing - why is it not reported/shouted that the evil fascist dictator Putin is demanding money for prisoners?  (rhetorical question)

The reason it is not reported is because it is not true. 🙈

Oh look, crickets from all those members that are so keen for the war to continue.... come on, where are you all?

Dig deep, do your bit to save Ukraine, that place you love but never mentioned prior to 24, Feb 22.

I would love to give, or not.  But I gave all my extra money to the "Go Fund Me", for Russian soldier that had a motorcycle and medical oops here.

He was anxious to get back to the front lines, and I couldn't think of a better use for my extra cash.

Doesn't Zelensky have a few billion stashed from all the countries sending aid money.   Surely he could pitch in a few rubles :coffee1:
