A road crash occurred on the Phahonyothin Highway between Lampang and Tak provinces, leaving 11 people injured, including children aged 5, 6, and 13.

The incident took place at 12:15 on January 2, near Wang Phrao village in Wang Phrao Subdistrict, Ko Kha District, Lampang Province. Police from Ko Kha Police Station and rescue teams from Ko Kha Hospital, local volunteer associations, and municipal rescue units rushed to the scene after receiving reports of multiple injuries.

Upon arrival, authorities found two vehicles involved in the collision, a Toyota Vigo Champ pickup truck with Nakhon Pathom registration and a Toyota Avanza van registered as a Bangkok taxi. Both vehicles had plunged into roadside grasslands following the collision. The van’s front end was damaged, with the company name was visible on its door.

All 11 injured occupants, from Lampang and Nakhon Pathom provinces, were found near the vehicles. Those with more severe injuries were lying on the roadside, while others sat nearby awaiting assistance. Rescue teams administered first aid before transporting the injured to Ko Kha Hospital.

Initial reports confirmed the injured included three children aged 5, 6, and 13. Police have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
