Yes, It was MUCH better back then, but even in '95 I saw the beginnings of everything so much more so broken as we're seeing today. And also yes, in 2000, we saw the internet much more accessible for everyone in the world, and I truly believe that the internet <mixed with humanity> is to blame for the complete breakdown of cultures and society as we knew it all over the globe, despite it also being such a great turnpoint at the same time. -

Palisades Fire in LA has zero containment
My best day in Huntington Beach was morning coffee on the 75F beach, hop in the car and drive through the 100F+ desert to snow ski in the mountains at Big Bear. Wore myself out and was back at the 75F beach for an evening stroll and dinner at the Ruby's (burgers) on the pier. I loved it there. But no way I could afford to move back. Normal working people can't afford it unless they bought their house before it went crazy. -

60 days on arrival to Non O annual extension
I use Siam Commercial Bank - I'm aware they don't have a branch at CW, but there are a few nearby - also one near my place so I would plan to go to SCB in AM and book appoitnment at CW for afternoon. And I believe you said before that I have up to 7 days in advance of IO appointment to get the bank letter and bank statement. I would update the account on the day of the appointment with a small deposit and get a photocopy of the bank book (if bank won't photocopy I can dash home and scan/print). Is there a specific form for the Medical Certificate that the Immigration Dept wants us to use? I guess I can make withdrawals from this account now as long as I keep a balance of more than 800k? -

Quickest Locations For Non-B Visa Applications in 2025
The following is only partly related to above, my experience with Phom Phen about 2 years ago. On their website was some information - in part wrong. In front of their embassy entrance was other information - also in part wrong. And one time I had to wait about 3 hours when I wanted to pick up my passport because they didn't understand one part of my documents (I think it was a name change of the company). All was correct, but they didn't see it. So, whatever you read, don't rely on it.
