He lost the plot
I disagree. IMO it's a mental disorder or an aberration of the mind. Generations of comedians will mock those whose brains exploded at any mention of Trump. Comedy shows will have a character with a mental condition ascribed to Trump. They'll get the biggest laughs. -

Dog Fatally Attacks 84 Year Old Owner at Home in Saraburi
Picture of dog from responders. An incident occurred in a village in Saraburi province, where an elderly man was killed after being attacked by his own dog. The attack took place at the man's home in the Dinso Pong community, Tambon Thap Kwang, Kaeng Khoi district, at approximately 08.00 on January 8th. Authorities from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation responded to the scene, where they discovered signs of a violent struggle. Blood stains were found scattered across the ground beneath the wooden house, with belongings in disarray. A male mixed breed dog, reported as a cross between a Thai breed and a Pitbull, was found chained up at the scene, barking loudly. The victim, 84-year-old Khun Tee, was found lying lifeless on the floor under the house, in front of a bathroom. His right arm had been severely maimed, with flesh completely torn away and missing, leaving only bone, from the elbow to the wrist. The left arm had numerous bite marks, suggesting the dog had attacked him viciously. A pool of dried blood covered his body, indicating the attack had taken place some time before the body was discovered. Emergency services took the body to Kaeng Khoi Hospital for an initial examination before sending it to the Forensic Institute in Nakhon Nayok for further investigation to confirm the cause of death. The victim's son, 52-year-old Prayong, explained that the dog, named "Ja Dam," was a beloved pet that his father had raised from a young age. The five-year-old dog had been living with his father and older brother, who has autism, for several years. Prayong, who lives in a separate house, was unaware of when the dog attacked his father. However, upon seeing the condition of his father's body, he speculated that the dog may have bitten his father's arm and dragged him across the floor. He also suggested that the dog might have been stressed, as it had been chained for an extended period. Local volunteer rescuer, Atchara, expressed concern over the missing parts of the victim's arm, unsure whether the dog had eaten it or discarded it elsewhere. The victim's daughter, who wished to remain anonymous, stated that she discovered her father's body in the morning, already in a lifeless state, lying on his side. She mentioned that her father had always cared for the dog, which had been with him since it was a puppy. Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident. -- 2025-01-08 -

Thai Suspect Arrested in Cambodia for Ex-Cambodian MP's Murder in Bangkok
Picture courtesy Naewna In a joint police operation, a Thai national suspected of assassinating a former Cambodian MP in Bangkok was apprehended in Battambang, Cambodia. This swift arrest follows the shooting of Lim Kimya, a former member of the Cambodian parliament, on a bustling street in Bangkok's Banglamphu area. The alleged gunman, Ekalak Paenoi, a former chief petty officer of the Thai Marine Corps, was captured without resistance while dining at a local eatery in Battambang. After his arrest, Thai authorities expeditiously brought him back to Bangkok for thorough interrogation. The motive behind the brazen daylight murder, which has sent ripples through diplomatic and local communities, remains under investigation. Lim Kimya, a prominent figure in Cambodian politics, was reportedly visiting Bangkok, having travelled by bus from Siem Reap. His assassination has sparked widespread interest and controversy, with many questioning the circumstances leading to his death. Investigations suggest that Ekalak may have been hired by unknown parties to carry out the assassination. There are speculations regarding a collaboration with an unidentified Cambodian accomplice who allegedly assisted in tracking Lim Kimya. This accomplice reportedly pointed out the victim to Ekalak and later fled to Phnom Penh, evading authorities. The international implications of this incident have captured significant attention. The use of a cross-border escape route by Ekalak has raised questions about security measures and inter-agency cooperation between Thailand and Cambodia. Picture courtesy Naewna Following his arrest, Thai law enforcement have intensified their efforts to uncover the underlying network behind this high-profile crime. Ekalak's military background adds a layer of complexity to the investigation, prompting authorities to probe into personal connections and examine potential links to organised crime syndicates. This incident shines a spotlight on the broader issues surrounding regional security and the vulnerabilities surrounding border travels between Thailand and Cambodia. The swift cooperation between the two nations' law enforcement agencies in apprehending the suspect underscores their commitment to addressing cross-border crime. As the investigation progresses, authorities are not only focusing on bringing Ekalak to justice but are also keen to identify and apprehend any co-conspirators involved in masterminding this planned attack. In the face of such a high-stakes crime, diplomatic channels are likely to remain open between Thailand and Cambodia. Both nations remain keen to demonstrate their determination to uphold the rule of law and ensure justice for high-profile victims like Lim Kimya, all while focusing on strengthening the bond and cooperation required to tackle cross-border criminal activities effectively. In light of these unsettling developments, all eyes are on how this significant case will unfold in the coming weeks, both in the courtroom and beyond, impacting regional diplomacy and security dynamics, reported Nawna, Thai Newsroom. -- 2025-01-09 -

He lost the plot
Given you lot have been obsessing about him for 8 years already and will be for the next 4, that's more than a passing fad. Psychologists in the future will use Trump as an example of how some people can lose their brains over one guy. Likely there will be a mental disorder named after him, for people that like to obsess over nothing much at all. -

Has human existence become too complex for YOU to comprehend?
It's of course a potentially great tool but based on history and human nature, it seems inevitable that humans have designed a tool for their own extinction. Humanity has dodged doing that so far with nuclear weapons but add in AI and I don't like the odds. -
