British Tourist Found Dead & Naked off Phuket Beach After Mysterious Encounter
You stated that he was drunk , there's no evidence to make that assessment . The article also states that the other person was a foreigner and not a Thai . Even if he had a few beers , which the article doesn't say he did , then that wouldn't men that he was drunk . He could have been in the bar watching football and not even drinking alcohol -

Electric Vehicles in Thailand
Will these 2025 newcomers challenge the BYD Dolphin in Thailand? Dolphin was in 2024 the best selling EV, also in the 600k baht price range, leaving MG4, Neta V, ORA Good cat and Wuling well behind. The Thai online media is expecting 2 newcomers will come to Thailand. Will they challenge the Dolphin? AION UT A Mazda 3 sized car, bigger than the Dolphin. Is just launched this month in China. Prices in China are between 12,300 - 15,000 USD. If I take a 20% uptick that the Thai AION V has compared to the top China model, top model of the UT is expected to be priced 612k baht. This is the only chinese video [no English subtitles] I found that gives an impression of the cabin space. Wuling Cloud EV This car has an exceptionally big cabin and boot space, bigger than the AION UT. Thai online media says it will be shown at the Bangkok Motor show. In China it is sold as Baojun Yunduo. The price in China is similar to the AION UT. However in Indonesia the price is ridiculously high [ 850k baht]. As there is a Wuling factory in Thailand, perhaps prices in Thailand will be much lower. -

Convicted Rochdale Grooming Gang Leader Still in the Town & not Deported
How so? He put some words on social media. He did not physically harm people or property. What else did he do and why would they keep it secret if he did something else that warranted a sentence longer than a child rapist? -

Another Wise problem
If you're PULLing from a bank using ACH, that may take 3-4 days due to the additional confirmation processing. Plaid (paid third party service) cuts that down to 1 day. Wise charges you a 0.25% fee for this service. I did the numbers in the post above. The fee works out to $2.50/$10K. That's only about 85 baht for every $10K, so may be worth it to some for the convenience. PUSHing from your bank via ACH is free, and should be accomplished in at most a day. -

Revenue Department boss calls on tax residents in Thailand to file 2024 returns by March 31
I have never seen this mentioned or discussed outside the pages of AN. Which is also the information that can be read on the pages of tax professional websites. It is also the information that is being given out by more than 1 tax professional consultancy. But flies directly in the face of the information I was given on Monday from an RD Office. Hopefully we will.get a definitive answer when forms get published on the RD website. -

He resigned his position as immigration minister as the Conservatives are not conservative and did not want to implement the immigration policies he proposed. He has some credibility on this issue. -

British Tourist Found Dead & Naked off Phuket Beach After Mysterious Encounter
In 25 years of traveling to and working in Asia, I have filed about half a dozen claims under travel insurance. So far, they're at 100% in denying the claims for something down in the fine print. Usually on about the 43rd page. So I'm not a big believer in travel insurance. Even so, I usually tick that box, hoping that someday I'll be proven wrong. I don't hold out much hope of that, especially if the claim is a whopper. I guess you've never sent flowers to a funeral home, or brought a covered dish to a memorial service. It's a way to share the grief and show some humanity and compassion and support for the family. If interweb fundraisers were available back then, I'd have donated cash in addition. It's a lot more useful, and generally less expensive than sending flowers. If you don't want to donate, fine. But don't demean those of us who do.
