Missing Dog Reward Turns Scandal with 100-Year Cheque Validity

A search for a missing dog, Thong Dee, in Pathum Thani turned controversial when the promised reward cheque was found to be valid only in 2125. Thong Dee’s owner, Kluay, initially offered 20,000 baht for the dog's safe return after he went missing on New Year’s Eve. Wisa, a local woman, found and cared for the dog before returning him, but Kluay claimed another person had found the dog first and issued a cheque for only 20,000 baht to the restaurant worker where the dog had been spotted. The cheque's validity date sparked outrage, and Kluay has yet to address the issue.
