A 68-year-old woman lost her life after crashing her motorcycle into the rear of a parked pickup truck on the Suwinthawong Road, near the traffic lights for Suwinthawong Intersection, on the outskirts of Chachoengsao. 

 

The incident, which was captured on CCTV, occurred on the morning of January 8, with the impact causing the motorcycle to become wedged against the truck.

 

The driver of the motorcycle, a woman aged 68, whose name has been withheld, died at the scene from the severe collision. The truck driver, who had recently stopped after experiencing a tyre blowout, was about to cross the road to a nearby tyre shop when the fatal crash occurred.

 

The police from Bang Nam Priao Station were notified of the crash and promptly arrived to investigate the scene. The truck driver was invited to the station for further questioning as part of the ongoing legal proceedings. 

 

Meanwhile, the body of the deceased was transported by Chachoengsao rescue volunteers to Bang Nam Priao Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

Another totally senseless accident. Driving into parked vehicles has become a trend in Thailand.

The video is not very clear but I am not seeing any sort of helmet there but perhaps there is a face mask. Sadly, that did not save her life.

 

Quite extraordinary careless driving. I wonder if she was completely zoned out.

Indeed....   The first point that sprung to my mind is... 'How ???'....  

 

Incredible....  broad daylight, not out of control...  just rode straight into a parked vehicle... the mind boggles.
