Accident Horrific Motorway 7 Crash Claims Eight Lives
Picture from responders. A horrific road crash on Motorway Route 7 has resulted in the deaths of eight individuals, including two children, when their vehicle was crushed between two lorries. The crash occurred at approximately 23:00on 24 April in the outbound lanes of the motorway, near kilometre marker 23+300, close to the Lat Krabang toll booths in Samut Prakan province. Emergency responders from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation arrived to find a devastating multi-vehicle collision in the emergency parking zone of the far-left lane. A white Chevrolet Captiva SUV, registered in Udon Thani had been crushed after being rear-ended at high speed by a lorry. The force of the impact drove the SUV into the rear of a stationary white tanker, registered in Chumphon, causing damage to both vehicles. The lorry responsible for the crash, registered in Chonburi, sustained frontal damage and is believed to have been travelling at high speed at the time of the collision. Rescue teams used specialist cutting equipment to free the victims from the mangled wreckage. Eight people travelling in the SUV were pronounced dead at the scene, with two others seriously injured and rushed to hospital. One individual from the lorry also sustained injuries. According to initial reports, the Chevrolet Captiva had pulled into the emergency stopping lane behind the oil tanker shortly before the crash. Authorities believe the lorry driver failed to notice the parked vehicles in time, resulting in a catastrophic collision. In a particularly poignant development, it has emerged that the ill-fated SUV had only been purchased six days earlier. Social media posts by the vehicle’s owner, proudly showing off their new purchase with matching registration details, have circulated widely since the crash, intensifying the heartbreak surrounding the tragedy. Thai authorities are working to formally identify the deceased and have appealed for the families of those involved to contact them urgently, as the investigation continues. 7-Eleven No Longer Gives Receipts - What Happened?
I haven't noticed yet in Pattaya and surrounding. Strange though, the receipt seemed to be mainly to ensure the staff ring up the charge, rather than charge the customer and keep the money -

Report Thailand Waves Goodbye to Costly Scout Uniforms, Eases Parent Woes
You are spot on. When the King passed away, the village boss said over the speaker system that whilst people should wear dark coloured clothing, people shouldn't take offence if some people could not. I guess some posters don't realise that in rural Thailand some people can't afford the expense of even a T shirt. Food takes priority. -
