In the shade at 6am. Nobody will die freezing.

No, and the funny thing is that the people in Bangkok get so much attention when it´s 16 degrees! When I woke up in the morning around 06.00, it was 12 degrees where I live.

At last a normally cold season... It was years ago we had these temperatures

How many years ago.?

20 years ago living in the central plain region it was always cool mid-dec to mid-jan bit not cold like this. Thais always felt it though, extra layers of clothing plus woolly jumpers being the order of the day, always wondered how those who went to Europe and much of USA survived the winters.

2nd week of cold mornings. 12 C today.

About enough!

Only slight improvement forecast for the whole week.

Need to go far south for mild temperatures.

Nipply this morning in Chiang Mai.  Was 11C at my house.  Had windows open and an extra blanket on the bed.  Slept like a (non-colic)  baby!

This morning in CM it got down to 11-degrees C.

Still, it does not seem cold to me.

Normally, I do not wear clothes while inside my house, or just a towel at most.

And, not unexpectedly, this very mild dip in temps has not caused me to get my clothes out of storage in my closet.

I should think about buying some Moth-Balls, because I may just keep my clothes in storage for the remainder of 2025.

I so clearly recall the year when I experienced cold weather here, and it was back in the year 2014.

But 2025 is definitely no 2014.

I believe that we will never again have such cold temps as 2014.

And, maybe I will have no opportunity to wear my clothes again.

What a waste.

8 deg C this morning, just before sun rise in Sakon Nakhon. (which claims to be statically the coldest province in Thailand) I had to visit the bathroom at 5am and it was b-b-bloody cold in there!

But it's great now having just returned from a hour's walk out in the cool fresh air blowing in from the South China Sea. And it seems that there's more to come yet.

... indeed quite fresh @ 9°C in Phayao Centrale this morning, between 14 and 15 indoors, not too comfortable so the cats are cuddling up properly, hehe ...
