Foreign Man Pickpocketed at Bangkok Mall Entrance

A foreign man was pickpocketed by three suspected thieves, reportedly foreign nationals, near the entrance of EmQuartier shopping mall in Bangkok’s Sukhumvit area on January 13. The theft, captured in a viral video, shows the victim searching his backpack for stolen valuables. Witnesses, including other foreigners, tried to assist, while a Thai man recounted the crime, stating the thieves appeared to be Chinese. The victim planned to file a police report. The incident, reported around 12:30 PM, sparked criticism online, with calls for government action to address rising crime concerns in Thailand. Further updates on the case are pending.
