JAN Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Attempting to do my retirement extension and get a queue ticket; Seems to be more or less impossible. Is the system not working, or somehow all queue tickets are booked? Can one do extension at Central Festival as well? Or, can I go to Lamphun, many tickets available there?
Popular Post clokwise Posted January 21 Popular Post Posted January 21 I've looked several times over the years and never once seen even a single queue slot available. People here have said you need to get online like 1 second after midnight to book a spot in the queue for a specific day, there is some math involved to sort out which day will be freed up next. I don't really see the point of the queue system anyway. Just do what the other 99.9% of us does, head down to immigration in the morning, file your papers, wait, and assuming you have everything they need, you'll be outta there in a few hours. 1 2
CMBob Posted January 21 Posted January 21 There just are not enough appointments available and, as stated, they are all taken within hours of the beginning (midnight) of the 90th day before. A friend received an appointment time for December 5th this past year and showed up to find the office was closed due to a schduled holiday (Constitution Day). I mention this only to suggest you should pre-check known immigration office holidays before snagging an available appointment. 1
Mahseer Posted January 21 Posted January 21 Was at Central Festival immigration this morning at 1100 and pretty quite for all services with only half the chairs taken in the main hall. Give it a go you may be surprised but avoid Monday & Friday if possible and day after holidays. And yes you can do retirement extension there.
JAN Posted January 22 Author Posted January 22 That's great. Will try Central Festival for a change. Thanks for the info. BTW. Where or which floor is the Immigration?

Duvidl Posted January 22 Posted January 22 When did they start doing retirement extensions at Central Festival? Never have in the past. 1

Yes, was wondering if/when things changed at the immigration office at Central Festival. The only report I've read of that is where some poster said he/she had an agent who was able to get an appointment at Central Festival and get a retirement extension there. I know none of us plebians can get an appointment there (no online queue for Central Festival) and thought we alone couldn't get an extension there based on retirement or marriage. I haven't been out in that office for just over a year but, at that time, the sign listing services offered there did not include either item. Things have changed?
JAN Posted January 23 Author Posted January 23 This apparently the services they offer at Central Festival; and yes, unfortunately not the retirement extension. Back to the airport I presume; alas.

This seems at odds with what was previously known, including that big sign (shown above) at CF immigration itself. Did you actually get a retirement extension there by yourself (no agent)?

JAN Posted Thursday at 12:15 AM Author Posted Thursday at 12:15 AM Just want to let people know how I fared doing the retirement Extension yesterday at Immigration at the airport, for a long time without being able to obtain a queue ticket. Obviously had all the documentation done the day before, bank statements, photo, copies. Arrived there at 9 AM. Got ticket at entry station for checking documents. Documents were checked and got another ticket for main immigration hall. According to the numbers called, there were 9 people in front of me, window 9. Got called after about one hour and at 10.30 all completed. Great service, easy and no hassle. 1

They called my queue number before I even sat down! Despite a hiccup with a document it was sorted and I had my extension in about an hour. I have never seen the place so quiet, ever.

worgeordie Posted Thursday at 09:38 AM Posted Thursday at 09:38 AM You have to book a ticket a LONG way in advance , Few days ago I got a ticket for April 28 ,2025 , but i did not get the confirmation E Mail , so I had to email the m,and the reply was I have told the officers you are coming at !.00 ,although the booked time was 2.30 , so will just have to take copy of email and hope it's all ok , If you need a ticket book well in advance , keep checking for the day you want ,as when that day opens up they go quickly . regards worgeorgdie
