IAFYM Posted Saturday at 01:34 AM Posted Saturday at 01:34 AM I was reading on here today about the online TM6 declaration thing and it had me wondering... As I would be going into Thailand after the proposed date that the online TM6 thing starts (I'm having a cosmetic surgery and spending the rest of my time as a tourist) then what would I put on the form? Regarding purpose of visit? It's mainly tourism that I'm going for but I'm staying in hospital owned accommodation. Would I just put tourism and the address of the hospital accommodation? Once again, thanks for any info.
Upnotover Posted Saturday at 01:46 AM Posted Saturday at 01:46 AM Medical Tourism is one of their target markets. Why not put that. 1

I was previously told that I could go visa exempt to Thailand as I'm from one of the visa exempt countries and I'm going for ~20 days. It is a holiday that I'm going for mainly, I'm just getting cosmetic surgery at the same time because it is significantly cheaper in Thailand and the surgeon is, from my research, fairly renowned for his results. Edit: I don't want to do anything wrong with anything and I'm feeling slightly overwhelmed with what seem to be new rules almost every time I look.

IAFYM Posted Saturday at 02:01 AM Author Posted Saturday at 02:01 AM Alright, I was thinking I should just put that but I wasn't entirely sure because it does feel like things are different with the rules every time I look. The other thing is that I don't have an occupation but I do have an income (via money left to me and my partner) and I have fairly significant savings. Is it ok to put on the form (if implemented in time before I go) that I am unemployed but have an income? I don't want to get turned away at the border.

I'm kinda hoping that the online TM6 thing (and the ETA) will get delayed until after I've travelled to Thailand. From what I've been reading, this is a possibility.

OK, then put address of hospital. 6 minutes ago, IAFYM said: I'm kinda hoping that the online TM6 thing (and the ETA) will get delayed until after I've travelled to Thailand. The TM6 online form is nothing to be concerned about. It will be simple form. The ETA won't be introduced any time soon. No offense but you a nervous. It's far more simple than you are thinking. Just saw your other post age/retirement. Age is irrelevant. Just put retired 1 1

Irrelevant but the "retirement" visa for long term stays is for those over 50. So in their eyes you are already past it. 1 1

If both legs are same airline then they see your return flight. If not then screenshot of return flight is fine.. BTW: I'm sure you are aware that you receive a 60 day stamp when you enter Thailand visa exempt. Realize you have flight booked however can incorporate a holiday in Thailand.
Popular Post Goethe Posted Saturday at 02:22 AM Popular Post Posted Saturday at 02:22 AM You are being overly worried. You will be one of 30 million tourists, so close scrutiny is highly unlikely. Write: "Tourism." Give address of the hospital. Make sure you have a return ticket. Take some Valium. :) 1 2

No offense taken, yes, I am nervous but only because I've spent a fair sum of money on this and I want to make the most of it as well as coming back looking like I'm in my 20s again 😂 I'm also travelling alone (for the first time) so, I'm getting anxious over this too. I will say that this forum has been fantastic in helping to calm my nerves over everything, which is greatly appreciated.

Not a chance. "We don't do that anymore" and then I was told to "have a couple of drinks" before the flight. Yeah, wise words from a GP. 😂

Just for the record I have always felt completely safe in this country. Since it's first visit and going straight to hospital you could check out taxis etc. There is a forum on AseanNow that deals with advice re airports. https://aseannow.com/forum/105-suvarnabhumi-airport-forum/ Here is airport thread The OP gives clear instructions.. https://aseannow.com/topic/1330579-taxi-procedure-at-bkk/ 1
IAFYM Posted Saturday at 02:35 AM Author Posted Saturday at 02:35 AM Yeah, I have been reading that it's a relatively safe place and I'm sure once I am on my way everything will be fine. Thank you for all the advice and help.
impulse Posted Saturday at 02:52 AM Posted Saturday at 02:52 AM 44 minutes ago, IAFYM said: I will be going straight to the hospital accommodation and staying there for my entire trip, Stop worrying and extend your trip so you can see the sights in Thailand. You'll get 60 days on a visa exempt entry then you can easily extend that. If you stay in hospital accommodations for the whole trip, you'll miss out on so much... The bigger question I'd be asking in your situation is whether anyone has experience getting the cosmetic surgery you're planning, in the facility you're booking into. They all have really nice websites... But that's a different sub-forum.
Brock Posted Saturday at 08:45 AM Posted Saturday at 08:45 AM Its a proposed date of implementation, I wouldnt worry about it as it more than likely wont be working in 4 months time. And yes if you are coming Visa exempt, you will be allowed in for 60 days. Its not worth getting upset by something like the TM6, or ETA.. Just keep your eyes open for it, and fill in the required information.. (No-one knows what is required as yet)
Skeptic7 Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago You're WAY overthinking this TM6...the simplest part of Thai immigration bureaucracy. Reason: Tourism. Employment: self-employed or...shoeshine boy, burger flipper, astronaut. Address: the place you are going to upon arrival. It's not rocket science and you should know that since you are an astronaut❗😁 1 1
