I am not American, so I frankly do not care about your sides.

To me as an outside observer it is obvious, that both sides of the political discussion in the USA have left behind any fact-based or target-oriented politics which would be for the benefit for their citizens, in lieu of mud-slinging, whataboutism or demagoguery.

Your post, I am sorry to say it, is another symptom of this dumbing down of the political intercourse. Who cares who has made this or that wrong? This constant finger-pointing is incredibly tiring, and leads nowhere.

Would it not be better, to find solutions to problems? To talk on the merits of fact-based information? To have an informed discussion with an outcome bettering every participant? Be an adult instead of a child?

Many Americans have seemingly lost any interest for that, and favor "bread and games" by now -- it is all just a big show, seeing no consequence in their behavior. But do not wonder, if the rest of the world has only pity for Americans thinking the goal is to "win their argument", whatever their partisan political alignment is.

How can solutions to problems be found when one side no longer bases its arguments on reality? This is like claiming that there should be common ground between people who claimed the moon landings never happened and those who reject that claim.

Not answering an argument with a coherent counter-argument, but with a label, yes, that is name-calling.

As I am not a Lefty, whatever this label of yours is supposed to mean, so I am not bothered. But I pity you for being unable to react properly.

If you do not understand this, and you really seem incapable of it, see my previous posts.

Wow, you've really hurt my feelings teacher, I'll try harder, I really will, please give me another chance!

I believe, that every populace gets the government they deserve.

Education is normally seen as the way out, be it for actual children as for immature adults. Have a thought about it, knowledge is free in this enlightened times, but a person needs to be willing to educate themselves.

Of course, if a whole populace has lost the will to educate themselves, there is, historically, also an answer to what will happen to them in the long term. It usually is not pretty.

Clearly, if you condemn me for raising an issue when it's someone else who was responsible, you might want to look a little closer to home.

But is it the whole population who rejects science? Who traffics in bizarre conspiracy theories? Remember the Obama wasn't born in the USA movement? Or the QAnon movement?

No. It's only Trump suppers who rejects science, who traffics in bizarre conspiracy theories. All the people that voted for Harris and Walz (the two smartest people in the Democrat party) are all really smart. It's only Trump supporters that are stupid.

It is overwhelmingly Trump supporters who reject science. Whether or not that makes them stupid is another issue. As usual, you are trying to put words in someone else's mouth, so to speak.

Because people do not support your position does not mean they reject science, it just means they do not support your position.

You think solar panels and batteries are going to run New Your all winter, and when I don't, you claim I am anti-science. I am not, I love science.

You claim that because I was against the Biden Administration unconstitutionally mandating people be vaccinated, I am anti-vaccine. I am not, I love vaccines.

BRICS is one thing, baht manipulation could be a future issue. As I recall last time, his economic people were looking into which currencies were being manipulated against the dollar.

I am not even sure why people even discuss BRICS as you might just as well say China they contribute about 70% of the groups income.
Russia only joined to p1$$ NATO off and India who have a space program but are still quite happy to take handouts from NATO countries these two are the only other two relevant countries in it.

Brazil and South Africa just hang on the coat tails of it with hopes of benefiting from China's economy which they have through mainly loans and investment from the disproportionate amount of money China put into it, China have given up diplomacy and have just decided to buy the world.

Very similar to formerly the UK being part of the EU, I am sure the new hashtag of BRIXIT won't be far off 🙂

I have thought about this part of your post and thought it merits another try at an answer.

By being better.

Instead of partisanism and finger-pointing, discuss with facts and have a coherent point that avoids including strawmen, name-calling and whatabouterism.

And again: I do not care, which "side" you are talking about, I am not even talking about "you" specifically: this is a general remark.

Looking from the outside, in US political discourse, there are no sides, there are only children squabbling. And as long as not enough adults holding a proper discussion can be found, things for Americans will not get better. So the only solution is, evolving into one of those adults, and maybe others will follow this development.

If it were my position only, you'd have a better point. But it's the overwhelming position of research based science. As for positions on energy, mine are based on science, And I often link to research. You seem to think that this is about one person's belief being just as valid as another's.

And where did you come up with the notion that mandating vaccinations is unconstitutional? You got a Supreme Court ruling to cite?

After you provide a source that using solar panels and batteries to run New Your all winter is a realistic solution.

The problem with your characterization is that it's just an empty generalization. When I point out on whose side the facts overwhelmingly lie, you point to some behavior you find objectionable. You still haven't answered the question of how to engage in a meaningful discussion with people whose beliefs are patently false.

First off, that was your claim. Not mine. Now, if you had put renewables in place of  "solar panels" I can offer evidence, I have repeatedly cited a exhaustive study from MIT which said that once battery costs came down to $20 per barrel 95% of electricity could economically be provided. That standard has been reached way ahead of the expect 2030 date projected in that study. What's more, solar efficiency is also ahead of schedule. So I can provide the link. But the problem is that then you'll demand that I summarize it for you. And that's not going to happen. I'm not here to be your unpaid Administrative Assistant. To put it another way, you can lead a horse to water but you cannot make it drink.

The Dems believed that the 2020 election was stolen? I'm guessing you meant 2024.

There are 10's of millions of Democrats in the US. Did this belief ever gain much traction amongst them? Did almost 3/4 of their House members vote against accepting the results of the election? Your comparison  is patently ridiculous.

Most of you will be unaware that Thailand has been on a sanction watch list by the USA for years, based upon currency manipulation, protectionism and other factors. One reason why they haven't been sanctioned before now is the general US political consensus that they are a useful ally in SE Asia.

If Thailand joins BRICS it's joining an organisation known to be hostile to US interests. That's a decision for Thailand. If they then suffer the consequences for declaring themselves allied with hostile nations they'll have brought it upon themselves.

Far too much ranting here by people who genuinely don't know what they are talking about.

And be honest, did you know Thailand was on a sanction watchlist before you flew foot first into this thread?
