It's normal and appropriate that men would be over-represented in things like aviation, motor sports etc.

Seems that DEI isn't in vogue when it comes to driving a 15 million US$ car in F1 racing. One wonders why when women can do anything, LOL.

Nonsense.

Studies consistently show that men perform better in terms of things like spatial awareness, which is kind of important when flying military aircraft.

It's normal and appropriate that men would be over-represented in things like aviation, motor sports etc. Trying to shoehorn diversity quotas into dangerous things ike flying aircraft is not a good idea. It sounds like she was not only female, but also a Lesbian and rumours suggest the reason her name was withheld (while the other 2 names were released) was to purge her social media of her attending PRIDE events with her partner etc.

So it would appear Trump did indeed have more information than members of this forum, as I said he did.

Now, to be 100% clear I am not saying Lesbians cannot fly aircraft, I am saying that being a Lesbian should not give you a better chance of getting the gig in order to fill a diversity quota. It should be based purely on ability. Otherwise, bad things can happen.

Let's hope the full investigation is honest and open and not an exercise in protecting DEI dogma.

And other studies demonstrate men to be more prone to reckless and dangerous behaviors.

Nobody gets a pilot’s license without completing the training passing the exams and getting he assessments.

Let’s not pretend otherwise.

Not always "gay". I was one of a tiny tiny minority of males in NZ that became nurses and it's definitely not seen as a "male" occupation by men. In fact I didn't tell anyone in my previous job ( military ) that I was going to be a nurse to avoid the inevitable mockery.

Yeah, you made a similar point to me, only the way you put it is better.  In general, society still sees certain jobs being better suited to certain demographics, meaning society is in some cases missing out on large pools of potentially good candidates.

Of my course 3 were men and one was as camp as a row of tents

Not heard this one before, made me laugh.

Would I recommend nursing for anyone, male or female- not a chance. I'd do my best to dissuade them. Now that it's a university required occupation it's even less worthwhile than when we could get paid to train. The income in employment will never compensate for income lost in uni.

Yeah.  Sad indictment.  Totally agree about your point on university, passes the cost of a lot of the training to the student, meaning a lot of potentially good nurses cannot afford to become a nurse.

I actually heard it from a female colleague, talking about a new recruit to the Saudi hospital I worked in.

The multi story residential block I lived in in Riyadh was notorious for "gays", and my first flat mate was one. Last I heard about him was that he was jailed after being arrested for homosexuality. Lucky for him hospital employees were deported and not stoned to death after Friday prayers, though sometimes they got the lash as well.

That is so true. The best nurses were the ones that went through hospital training, though none of them will be left now as all retired.

The main benefit was that students found out if they didn't want to be nurses BEFORE they spent 3 years in uni training. Uni students did hardly any practical nursing, and sometimes reality was not what they thought it would be. Lots of students decided that it wasn't for them. The only other not gay guy on my course decided that there was too much bullying and got out  and went back to banking, where he make more money and work was not physically hard. I stuck it out and eventually got a pay off when I went traveling and getting paid as a nurse.

Plenty on here with opinions and I'm pretty sure that they are no more qualified to know than Trump.

Is it Trump's fault that the world's media breathlessly reports every musing he's ever uttered in the past 8 or so years? Is it Trump's fault that the haters believe everything he says when they think it makes him look foolish, but say it's a lie otherwise? Trump may be bombastic but his brain hasn't melted like a few on here.

Yes it IS Trump's fault.

If he said nothing, then the media would have nothing to say about him.

I can remember this old saying,

The full saying is, "It is better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt," which is often attributed to Abraham Lincoln, meaning that sometimes it's better to stay silent even if it makes you seem uninformed rather than speak and potentially reveal a lack of knowledge.

Sure sure, That would work for the presidential election campaign.

Anything to say about Biden on that score then, or does Trump occupy your entire world?

😞

Please tell the entire world what comments ex President Biden made about the incident,

I am sure that the world is as eager to hear your words as I am.

Trump only occupies a miniscule amount of my world.

Judging by the number of your posts on this thread alone. he seems to occupy ALL of your world.

I just respond to the posts that hate Trump. It helps to fill in the time as there are so many of them.

As you very well know I was responding to you comment about not saying anything. Biden said plenty of things, and some times he should have not said them.

Biden was POTUS when the DEI was running rampant, was he not? So, it's his fault.

I think your definition of "miniscule" differs from mine.

Have a nice day.
