The Day the Music Died
"The Day the Music Died" Artists die; the music is forever. I hear regularly music from artists who died recently or long ago. The music is still the same. -

Vegans
I never said India is a vegetarian county. This is not a Trump thread; you can be truthful here. Have you had McDonald's or Dominoes in India? -

If you are retired, does it bother you that you will never be a Thai Permanent Resident?
I consider THE major downside of retiring in Thailand on retirement extensions. However, I knew about it before I moved here although I didn't realize how I was going to feel about that years later. So "bothering" me doesn't really apply but more like resigned to this negative reality. I would recommend that new people look much more closely at othter countries that do offer lifetime residence via retirement though before they become heavily invested in living in Thailand. For example, Philippines, Mexico, Uruguay, Colombia, Panama, Portugal, etc. Imagine being 80 years after living in Thailand for 30 years with no home to go back to and being booted out because the one year extension rules change on you, etc. Grim and brutal.- 1

Democracy is Failing the Young – No Wonder They Want Change
This is a very good point. I spend most of my time in the U.S. in NY, specifically in Westchester County, an affluent district with first class schools, medical facilities, though very high housing costs. One need only drive forty or fifty miles West or North out into the more rural districts from Westchester and affluence picture changes dramatically, house prices plummet, public facilities are more basic and the number of late model cars seen declines. People are struggling. What’s more stark is that this negative gradient of affluence has increased markedly over the past thirty years. Blue collar workers and increasingly the middle class are having the fruits of their labour stripped from them and passed up to the Billionaires now unquestionably running America.
