A 37-year-old man has lost his life following a fatal motorcycle crash in the town of Nakhon Thai, Phitsanulok province. The incident occurred on the Ban Yang–Nakhon Thai road near the Sam Ruu Bridge, causing chaos when the motorcyclist lost control, leading to a collision with a lorry.

Police were alerted to the incident at around 6 km from the town centre. Upon arrival at the scene, investigators found an overturned 18-wheel lorry that had been carrying gravel. Nearby, a black Yamaha XSR motorcycle lay abandoned in the middle of the road, and the body of the motorcyclist, later identified as Anucha Ma-on, was found lying in a pool of blood.

Anucha, a resident of Nakhon Thai, was dressed in a green long-sleeve shirt and camouflage trousers. His head was severely crushed after being run over by the lorry.

According to the lorry driver, 54-year-old Pradit Kaewkem, he was transporting gravel from Phitsanulok city to Nakhon Thai when he saw the motorcyclist lose control and fall onto the road. The motorbike skidded across into the lorry’s lane, forcing Pradit to swerve sharply to avoid a direct collision. However, in the sudden swerve the lorry flipped over onto Anucha, who had fallen off his bike and he died at the scene.

Family members confirmed that Anucha was a volunteer soldier with the Phitsanulok Volunteer Defence Corps. He had just returned home and was on his way back to work when the crash occurred.

Local authorities have sent the body to Somdet Yupparat Nakhon Thai Hospital for an autopsy. Further investigations are ongoing to determine the exact details of the crash.
