I can confirm that ideally I plan to be a tax resident in Thailand in 2025 but that depends on how it could effect me. Thanks for your opinion about what you think my liability would be.
Ideally I would like to use the 400,000 to assist in buying a house for me and my wife after its stayed long enough in the bank to fulfil the visa requirements. If so, I would still need to be bringing money into Thailand though for the daily expenses though, one way or another.
If Russians caused trouble it would be anti-Russian sentiments.
If Chinese caused trouble it would be anti-Chinese sentiments.
If Africans caused trouble it would be anti-African sentiments.
If Indians caused trouble it would be anti-Indian sentiments.
But when Israelis go off the rails and cause trouble, it's "antisemitism."
Honestly, Thailand is uniformly racist when outsiders upset their apple durian carts.
The average Thai could give a rip about jews or gentiles, catholics or hindus, muslims or mormans - all they see are farangs and kreak. So when the Israelis created problems it just created an "Ai Farang" moment. Framing that as antisemitism is just lunacy. The vast majority of Thais probably don't even know what the term means.
I can agree with that, for sure. It was the way that you phrased it in the beginning ("Invite the west in...") that gave me the idea that you were making it as though it's because the "west" is to blame. It doesn't matter where the visitor comes from IMO. Chinese visitors cause just as many, if not more, problems IMO. Then of course you have Indians and Arabs.... It's not an east-west thing.
This is why I have my wife do the check-in process whenever we travel locally, without any info from me, and nobody has asked yet.....so no need to worry about TM30's. But I still get hit for them when travelling outside of the country, no way out of that, they (Nonthaburi Immigration) insist they want a new one when I get back.
