Trump: ‘we’re going to lose our patience’ hostages ‘looked like Holocaust survivors’

Trump has expressed deep concern over the condition of three Israeli hostages released by Hamas on Saturday, comparing their frail and emaciated appearance to Holocaust survivors. Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, he warned that the United States' patience could eventually wear thin.

 

I watched the hostages come back today. And they looked like Holocaust surivors. They were in horrible condition. They were emacitated. It looked like many years ago the Holocaust survivors. I don't know how much longer we can take that...We're going to lose our patience"

Eli Sharabi, Or Levy, and Ohad Ben Ami were freed after months in captivity, and their deteriorated physical state left a strong impression on the former president. “They looked like Holocaust survivors,” Trump stated. “They were in horrible condition, they were emaciated… and I don’t know how much longer we can take that.”

 

He emphasized how much their appearance had changed, saying, “They look like they haven’t had a meal in a month. These were healthy people a reasonably short number of years ago, and now they look like they’ve aged 25 years. They literally look like the old pictures of Holocaust survivors, the same thing. No reason for that.”

 

Trump acknowledged that under the current ceasefire and hostage agreement, captives were expected to be released gradually, but he highlighted the severity of their mistreatment. “They are in really bad shape, they have been treated brutally, horribly. Even the ones that came out earlier, they were in a little bit better shape, but mentally they were treated so badly. Who could take that?” he asked.

 

He concluded his remarks with a warning, suggesting that the situation could push the United States to take further action. “You know, at some point, we’re gonna lose our patience.”

Could their malnutrition have anything to do with the fact that Israel blocked food and other essential going into Gaza?

Everybody was/is starving in Gaza because of Israels and USAs actions.

I have never see an actual holocaust survivor, have you?

I have seen documentaries about the holocaust and seen footage of survivors and the similarity is there, same as some Brits and Americans in Japanese POW camps!

No, it couldn't!  Despite the claims that the Palestinians were starving, they always looked pretty well fed in any photos. I didn't see a single photo of a Palestinian as emaciated as these hostages.

I did see some that were proven to be fakes. I saw one child that looked in a terrible state, but that was due to illness, and they stupidly photographed the child with its fat mother!

Of course many children women have been killed, because the rag heads where hiding safely underground. 

Al Jazeera news one sided, always quoting 70 % of deaths are women and children. The most unfortunate thing about it all the 30% of men were not underground.

They complaining 8,500 trucks of aid gone in since ceasefire instead of 12,000 is not acceptable.

I am not American bit think Trump got it right about foreign aid.

Sad to see starvation in the world but many places where this is happening there is no shortage of weapons.

Hope Australia follows suit and starts look after their own.
