That wasn't his question.

Very good, Wally.  You get a gold star for the day and a pat on your pointy little head.

Now ask yourself - if someone says they don't care what people in Europe think, would that person actually respond to the asinine question posed in the OP?

Tomorrow's lesson will be about "context" and "nuance".

The AfD is not at all like the 'softened' far-right such as Meloni or Le Pen. They are true fascist

Oh, so you’re the one that gets to decide how far right any political party is, and who are fascists and who are not. I’ve been wondering who decided, many thanks .

Well, it depends on their statements and positions.

And, of course, you truncated my post and forgot the part about the antisemitic tendency of this party.

For the antisemitic aspect, I cited a Jewish organisation.

Without the USA's industrial might the battle of the Atlantic would been lost.   The USA also blocked Japan from cutting off supply lines to Australia and New Zealand during the battles of Guadalcanal.

You have been watching too many  US war movies which present an historically incorrect version of events. The initial comment was made in respect to the USA saving  Europe. The war with Japan is not germane.

The battle of the atlantic was won in large part because of three factors; Air Superiority, Intelligence, and large numbers of vessels. The RCAF coastal command and RCAF  Ferry Command deployed longer range aircraft after 1942.  By 1944, every convoy had permanent air capability with the introduction of the MAC- merchant air capability that had 1 convoy include a  vessel  equipped with 4-6 submarine hunters. The pilots who flew off of these vessels were some of the most skilled pilots in the war, taking off from small decked vessels and flying in harsh conditions.

The Allied Signals intelligence group broke the Enigma code. The Signals group was populated by some of the best and brightest British and Commonwealth sourced minds.

The large numbers of merchant vessels that were organized into  convoys were crewed primarily by British,  Norwegian, Danish, Dutch, Canadian and Polish merchant seamen on mostly British and Canadian vessels. Norway had the 4th largest merchant marine capability in the world at the outbreak of WWII. Many brave Norwegians went with their vessels to  Great Britain where they worked the convoys, with thousands dying in the process.

Yes, the USA made a tremendous contribution and Europeans should be grateful, but the USA has a bad habit of claiming that it did everything on its own for the greater good, and that just isn't true.

The United States significantly impacted the Battle of the Atlantic by providing crucial naval forces and air power, ultimately turning the tide against German U-boats and ensuring the vital supply lines to Britain and the Soviet Union remained open throughout World War II, effectively allowing the Allies to maintain their war effort in Europe; their entry into the war brought a massive influx of ships, manpower, and advanced technology to the fight against German submarine attacks. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Key points about the US impact on the Battle of the Atlantic: [1, 4, 6]
  • Industrial Powerhouse: The US's vast industrial capacity allowed for the production of large numbers of warships, aircraft, and escort vessels, which were crucial in bolstering Allied naval forces in the Atlantic. [1, 4, 6]
  • Convoy System: American naval forces played a key role in protecting Allied convoys crossing the Atlantic, using advanced technology like radar and sonar to detect and destroy U-boats. [1, 3, 7]
  • Airpower: The deployment of long-range aircraft from the US significantly expanded the area that could be patrolled, further limiting U-boat operations. [1, 5, 7]
  • Turning Point in 1943: With the US fully engaged in the battle, the tide turned decisively against the Germans in mid-1943, leading to a significant decline in Allied shipping losses. [1, 2, 5]
  • Early Involvement: Even before officially entering the war, the US provided support by establishing bases in the Atlantic and deploying naval patrols to monitor German submarine activity. [4, 8, 9]

Canada would get invaded by Chinese if not for US. Chinese economy would go into recession if not for US.

No Chinamen in US. No railroads No big push Westwards. Cannibals in the Rockies. No US.

Otherwise, complete and utter testicles to suggest the PLA would be waiting off the coast of British Colombia were it not for the US Coastguard.

I take it you believe that the film "Battle Beneath the Earth" was an accurate portrayal of things to come.

BTW..in today's dollars.  The US spent $661,336,000,000 just on the lend-lease program.   We kept you in the war.

OMG, maybe you should read comments more carefully. I did not call anyone a Chinese lover, I called the comment pro-Chinese drivel; a difference that you were obviously not able to recognise.

Still, that didn’t stop you claiming Trump was going to wreck most of the world. Not much fun this democracy malarky is it; when it doesn’t yield the result you want and leaves you with nothing but tears and tantrums ¯\_()_/¯

And the Soviets killed the most Germans. Using a lot of US equipment.

Both names are shown when searching from outside the USA on Google maps!

Nautical and Aero maps will not, if ever, be changed until full international agreements have been reached and new charts published!

My first part of my post was just confirming you maybe/are one of the loonies. Then you posted back to me to prove it. As a side note I'm in Thailand now and I see Golf of America. You actually seem excited about your post.

You posted that we should check our maps!

So I did and posted the results!

Where does either "you maybe/are one of the loonies." or "You actually seem excited about your post. " come into my reply?
