N type, mono, split, bifacial solar panels are amazing!

One of my 3 year old standard 345w Bluetech solar panels (3,500bht) failed, so I just replaced it with a

580w Rapid n type, mono, split, bifacial solar panel (2,300bht) and the difference is amazing ........

First it's n type, most suitable for a hotter climate.

Split, so my afternoon shading problems appear to be gone, previously I lost solar around 2pm, now I have solar until 4:30pm.

Bifacial, it can use ground reflected light (supposedly even more effective on a white roof with space left around the panel).

Surprisingly even though it's in a string of 345w panels, it still manages to give superior output.

Not seen anyone mention these before, but if you're buying new panels, this is the way to go.

Only downside is they're a bit big and awkward to handle.

In summery, with just 1 panel upgraded,

My batteries are now fully charged on a sunny day by 11:30 (previously 12:30).

And I now have significant solar until 4pm (previously 2pm).

Absolutely soo much better than P type

I recently replaced all my dubiously spec'd panels with a bunch of 580 watt half cut N's and was also amazed.

I didn't have the bifacial ones though.

Another hard day of pulling down the rest of the rubbish bluetech 345w panels and putting up a 2nd rapid 580w panel.

Ordered another Rapid for 2,058bht Inc delivery.

So it'll end up 4x bluetech removed and 3x Rapid installed.

I'll use the 3x bluetech panels with a suoer 1000w GTi to wind my meter back.

quite a upgrade. I got half cuts bifacials on the roof (p type) and is is possible to briefly get more than 100% out of them. Once i got 5650w out of 5400 array. i dont think that would be possible on 1 faced panels
