You must get a new TM-30 receipt before having your documents checked.

Thanks

TM 30 receipt (even though I already have one from when I entered Thailand in November)

Also last year I had to do a "deposition" (about the penalties for overstay) and a stm2 which is about the bank balance and a checklist. Are they still required or a thing of the past?

PS Every form prefilled (Blue) on computer will that be an issue ?

Unless you have exited Thailand since or perhaps even stayed away from residence then your existing TM30 should be fine

There is two forms re acknowledgement of overstay etc.

No big deal. They hand it to you and you sign it.

You are over thinking it.

Thank you

In my previous life I was a planner (actually in the travel business) so no I am not overthinking just being "true to type"- forms already completed and ready to be used I was just checking if things had changed since last time (as they sometimes do if the staff change).

This is the Korat immigration office with their own rules.  Korat requires a new TM-30 each year when you apply for extension.  TM-30 desk is in the next building over, takes 5 minutes.  My wife does it for me and makes a copy while I'm in the documentation check area.

Yes, every year the same, just as at CW with their 3 extra pages.  But Korat has their own versions.  I included CW copies in my package first time there, which were not accepted.

Shouldn't be, unless you have two separate sheets where theirs is double-sided.  I prefill with blue ink.

Well they have NEVER requested a new TM30 from me.

Some office do some don't.

CM didn't do my 90 day report that was due on Feb. 10 when I did my extension on Feb. 6.  I forgot to ask them to do it.  I returned to the drive through window the next day.  Thankfully, it's only a 15 minute drive.

CW don't do TM47 when you obtain new extension.

BTW 90 report at CW in person is an excursion in itself

Since I started the thread and I went today to extend my Non O retirement at Korat immigration.

I'm not trying to be contentious or disagree with all the helpful previous responses but this is what actually happend:

TM 30 (issued 22 November 24) accepted.

Blue ink produced by overlaying in a pdf program on my computer not liked by initial (trainee checkers who help you fill in forms) but not a problem with main checkers and immigration officer (I use this method because I have arthritis in my writing hand and my writing is difficult to read).

STM2 form has changed from last year (as far as I could make out only in so far as two sheets have become double sided) Took the precaution of getting a blank set to scan.

Everyone helpful and friendly to deal with.

One thing to note - two pages on the blue book (the initial page and the page with the owners? name) need to be copied to the same sheet.

Got the extension, 90 day report done, new TM 30 and single re-entry stamp done by the immigration officer all in one go.

Oh yes, Internet went down for an hour or so whilst I was having the stamps put in the passport.

Funnily enough the same happened last year but there is a really nice restaurant just opposite so no sweat 😃.

Since the news was just confirmed today about issues with the banks and foreign accounts, this question might be premature, but given the  ever-present possibility of an overly anxious branch manager, would @DrJack54 think it might be wisest to get the extension letter and statement from my own branch (as opposed to just any one)? And, in addition to the letter, is the statement also good if obtained more than a few days before the IMM1 CW retirement extension appointment (up to one week)? By the way, I know the banking issue is 'only' about foreigners opening 'new' accounts, but the branch managers tend to interpret these things pretty broadly and that's why I wonder if attending my own branch would be a safer bet (as I now have only the 90 day O visa). Any thoughts?

The bank letter is fine from any branch.

The 12 month statement can be requested at any branch. The branch will forward to head office.

CW will accept letter and 12 month statement up to 7 days prior.

However recommend couple days prior better option.

Okay, thanks for the quick reply and advice. Regarding branch forwarding statement to Head Office, that's only Bangkok Bank that has a longer process, right? I have SCB and I think you and one other said SCB can do both on the spot while waiting?

Yes.

Replying to too many PM.

SCB can provide 12 month bank statement on the spot.

Just note it takes lil bit of time.

Perhaps 30-40 mins
