So as an American expat you feel like a piranha?

Have you considered applying for citizenship elsewhere?

https://www.expatica.com/ru/moving/visas/russian-citizenship-995117/

Once you obtain citizenship, you qualify for one hectare of land free in Siberia.

Imagine waking up on your very own farm, sitting down to have a coffee, and being able to see Sarah Palin from your back porch!

Piranha? That's funny.

The question is why would americans want permanent resident status in thailand? The country has no moral compass. They deal with russia china and iran. Thailand will forgive any bad behavior by foreigners for the right price

The US Presidency can be bought too. Musk shelled out $250 million.

Want an ambassadorship? $1 million political donation will buy one.

When the Supreme Court said political contributions were an expression of free speech, the "moral compass" went out the window.

That's exactly what you are implying, and why would any American give up their citizenship, simply because they don't care for the 'elected' president, who is only going to be there 4 years.

Only reason to become a resident of another country, would be to enjoy any extra benefits, or avoid income taxes, is still produce high income.

Because he catastrophizes, as he does. Seems to be a thing with a certain side of the political spectrum. All very predictable and dull. They should just get over it.

People in general are pissed with Russia/Russians, yes because of the war, but also in the aggressive way they carry themselves and that they typically have no regard for other cultures. Trump’s shenanigans will have little effect on others’ views of Americans overall methinks. Decent folk for the most part, if a little big headed, but they are not invading sovereign states or going bat<deleted> crazy.

But leaving the country etc (not that op is even there) is just leftie twaddle. We had all that last time. 😴
Some family members would not travel to the US during his last tenure, which I just found odd. Learned people with a childlike fixation it seems.

Anyway, why reply?

And the buffoon Harris spent about twice the money Trump spent, and still

lost.

Trump is doing what he said he would do when hr campaign.

I think Americans get way more hassle because of left-wing nonsense than anything Trump does.

People from outside the US think Trump is doing a great job and can't believe the lunacy that the US citizens have tolerated from the left.

The US has gone way down globally in recent years.  It's now on its way back up.

Your propaganda piece has it back to front, as usual.

The louder the left howls, the better he’s doing.

‘I have nothing to do with Project 2025,’ Trump said (10 SEP 2024)

37 ways Project 2025 has shown up in Trump’s executive orders

President Donald Trump on the campaign trail last summer disavowed Project 2025, saying he knew nothing about the effort.

But many of the conservative blueprint’s ideas have made their way into his early executive orders, signaling the sweeping impact the Heritage Foundation document has already had on the Trump administration’s policy making.

Come on Jingthing...you have to cut MAGAs some slack. It's not as if a one of them sits to the right of the mean on the IQ Bell Curve (unless they're a billionaire angling for another tax cut).

Other than in the fever swamps of the intellectually challenged in MAGAstan, where was Biden a "laughing stock"?

When US GDP grew at 3 times the average g7 GDP from 2020 to 2024, do you think other G7 leaders were laughing?

When the Recession the PINO produced at the end of his first term ended shortly into Biden's tenure, who was laughing?

When the US was the first major nation to get the Covid-caused inflation down, who was laughing?

When Biden took the previous loser's 6.8% Unemployment and saw the longest string of sub 4% unemployment in 64 years, who was laughing?

For a guy supposedly "out of it" mentally, the joke is that economic performance under Biden dwarfed even the best of what 45 produced.

Now THAT is funny!

Obviously never been to live sport. At least 30% of sports crowds are highly abusive. They abuse gays, refs and even legends. Novak is the greatest tennis player of all time and he gets booed. Football fans are known to start fights.

Could not wait 1 month before whingeing. You socialists are never happy. Not one word about Biden's 4 year inflation or failed borders. So pathetic.

Under Biden, besides actual GDP growth that was the best since the late 1990s, there was an increase in both spending and savings by consumers. Also record job growth.

I understand the average MAGA lacks anything the modern economy demands, so it's little wonder they did so poorly while people with skills and talents made hay while the Biden sun was shining.

The sad joke is that MAGAs think the PINO can help them, even if he cared they exist (which he no longer does, because he got all he needed from those losers, which was their votes.)

And if you thought the inflation Biden tamed (from 9% way down to 2.2%---faster than any G& nation) was bad, wait until grocery prices soar because the folks who pick produce or prep chicken, pork and beef are either deported or too scared of getting caught in an ICE raid to go to work.

I've selected an '82 Petrus to enjoy with a large helping of schadenfreude when MAGAs realize their "dream" is really a nightmare. Federal layoffs and agency closures will hit them in such ways as long long delays for tax refunds, SSDI and SNAP payments, getting a passport, having their special needs kids cared for by a country lacking a Dept of Education, more e coli and salmonella in their food due to short staff at the FDA and Dept of Agriculture, and maybe even a surprise terrorist attack because foreign intelligence liaison has stopped 100% due to nobody trusting the PINO.

Now President Musk doesn't care about any of this, because he's got his $400 billion.

I suppose you can be cynical and claim that Trump and Elon are after ever more vast amounts of wealth and power.

But one might also come to the opposite conclusion.

Unlike other politicians, they are already self-made billionaires and don't need money.

So they might be doing things for more altruistic reasons than most other politicians precisely because they don't care about money anymore.

US had 3 major problems - border, inflation and debt. Trump fixed 1 problem in 3 weeks. Biden fixed no problems in 4 years and 2 wars started.

If Trump lowers debt and inflation what will their whinge about? Dogs barking?

Unauthorized apprehensions at the U.S. southern border have decreased significantly in the past six months — by more than 70% compared with the same period in 2023, according to Customs and Border Protection.

The U.S. government attributes the dip to an executive order issued last summer by President Biden that severely restricts asylum requests from migrants attempting to cross the U.S.-Mexico border with no authorization. Another factor is the implementation of the CBP One app, and experts say the Mexican national guard cracking down on migrants heading north is playing a key role, as well.

Because I'm married to a Thai, I have a Thai son, I have a Thai extended family, I've lived here almost 18 years, and I plan to live out my days here until I die unless the Thai government decides to break up my family.

That's why.  Personally I'd rather have citizenship like every foreign female who is married to a Thai guy can obtain after 3 years of marriage.
