Do you tend to shun donning Hi-So fashion during the Hot Season in Thailand?
All I can say is.... Let us hope that Thailand does not further relax its quality standards concerning foreigners allowed into this great country. For example: HERE IS a guy by the name of RUFUS, a product of the SouthEast USA. Obviously, he is NOT a Farang. But Look at his Garb. This seems to be the fashion sense of young people today in his part of the world. If he would just dress better, and try for an education, life might go better for him. This is why it is important to enforce a higher dress code for Farang in Thailand. Shirts in SEVEN should be mandatory. And, Thailand should begin now to set policies that will bar visas to Americans with strange names, such as Rufus, Devarcy, Weeda, and other strange names. And, who thinks UP these names, anyway. I can tell you, for sure: When this Quality of Tourist becomes more prevalent in Thailand, then.... I am OUT OF HERE....Big Time!!!! Here is another image of Rufus' friend, and his sartorial choices: The guy is wearing pants that look like a QR Code with an orange hoodie. And then, he had money to buy these shoes, more to his taste? This is why I seldom leave my compound. However... If I knew that guys here in Thailand were beginning to dress like humans, they way humans once dressed when I was younger, then I would leave my compound and enjoy my stay in Thailand. At the very least, I do not need to live in the USA with Rufus as my neighbor. This is why I am in Thailand at this time, as well as for other valid reasons. The above images come from this vid: Fortunately, this vid has subtitles. Impossible to make hide nor hair of what these boys are saying. Most have no more than a 9-th grade education. As we can see, this is just one cause of American culture being further dumbed down. It's a race to the bottom of the apple barrel. And, the guys in this video are way out ahead. And, they dress for the part. Do you see any Farang dressed this way in Thailand..... Yet? During the Hot Season? -

Anyone bought a mini PC from Lazada?
About five years ago I bought an Acer Aspire A515-43 from Lazada. I don't remember what I paid for it, but I know I shopped around locally and found this the lowest price. I use it as my backup PC. My primary one is a tower. I've had no problems with it. I did have an additional drive and more memory added about a year after buying it. -

Visa Agencies in Thailand: Balancing Immigration Assistance with Challenges
I know this is off main topic, but on the broader subject of corruption Elon knows Trump is bankrupt. Therein lies the rub. Nuff said. So ... back to visas. Only been touched up for a hefty bribe at immigration once. Politely declined and worked round it. Always do it myself - it's basically very simple as I fulfill the criteria for a Non-O visa and extension of stay based on retirement. Otherwise always found desk officers at least polite, efficient. Also very patient with the (occasionally disgraceful) antics of some of my fellow temporary residents on extended permission to live in their country. (Same at MOFA and other offices.) It's worthwhile being aware of your real status. No disappointments or delusions of grandeur, and you can enjoy things knowing where the goalposts are. They shift 'em you can decide again. Like I've always heard: never invest more in LOS than you're prepared to lose then you can live here happily with an air of freedom. -

Just received a Tax form in the post - what next ?
A number (but not all) of provincial Revenue Depts are telling people no need to file if no tax owed. This is not technically correct -- by law must file if you have more than 60k in assessable income -- but the most you risk (assuming indeed no tax due) is a small fine, and ghat seems rarely enforced. Still, I personally would file in that circumstance. A few RDs are telling people only need to file if you work in Thailand. That is, and always has been, completly untrue and if as a result you fail to pay tax due, could come back to bite you in future.- 1

Visa Agencies in Thailand: Balancing Immigration Assistance with Challenges
I've had marriage extensions, work extensions, dependent extensions and retirement extensions...got peed off with we want more photos, must wear different clothes, letters from the bank and all.sorts of other stupid requests...I decided it's far easier to use an agent and in fact is far cheaper also...does that mean I and many others in the same position do no qualify for an extension...of course it does not, it means we have far better things to.do with our lives but of course the oh so high and mighty visa nazis will say different
