As of February this year, 13 Israelis had been charged and deported for crimes ranging from theft to public nuisance, according to a police spokesperson.

The issue garnered public attention after a doctor shared a post on Feb 4 highlighting the individuals’ recurring disruptive behaviours.

“These tourists regularly smoke on hospital property, steal items, and have damaged our emergency room doors,” the doctor wrote on Feb 4, as quoted by Khaosod.

“When they do come for treatment, they often refuse basic medical procedures like blood tests and wound care, making it extremely difficult for our staff to help them.”

You missed a bit out:

As of February this year, 13 Israelis had been charged and deported for crimes ranging from theft to public nuisance, he added, according to the report by South China Morning Post. :clap2:

It also confirms that they are not "repetitive incidents".

They are the chosen ones. Other people dont like that

Yes, so its other people who resent Israelis for being Jewish that contribute to the problems .

Christians and Muslims disagree with Jews because they are Jews .

"Other people don't like that"

Christians and Muslims believe that they are the ones who have been chosen to follow Gods commands.

Now we are getting somewhere in the real reason why some people dislike Israelis

Yes, there is. It just isn't often reported.

What you are not getting is this....

On my very first visit to Thailand many moons ago, my FIRST impression was how rude and disrespectful the Israelis were towards the locals. I was genuinely shocked at how an Israeli shouted at an old woman cooking food and to be honest was just seconds away from giving him a slap.

In Thailand, people are family. Brothers, sisters, uncles...you do not disrespect older people.

That was my first impression and I saw a lot more since then and not just in Thailand.

All of your protestations are only for those not on the ground and willing to believe that people inherently hate Jews.

This is nonsense. It is specific bad behaviour that people find abhorrent.

LOL. how credible

Still waiting for that Link from the PM

I have no idea as to which link you are referring.

I'm not concerned about your trying to dismiss my experiences, as that is all that you do here. But everyone reading, including yourself, knows that what I have written is true.

It's not the kind of thing that someone would just make up and you still see exactly the same behaviour reported even now.

This one:

"No, the PM commented about there being 30,000 Israelis in Pai."

Please.............:cheesy:

You should learn to read and comprehend. The PM commented about the claim that there were 30,000 Israelis in Pai.

You attempted to tie that in with the reports of bad behaviour, as if it were only one incident. But if it were one incident, it would be unlikely that there would be such a major crackdown, with the Embassy, PM and Interior Minister getting involved.

It looks like you are attempting damage limitation. But too late, the cat is out of the bag. Israelis have been behaving badly for decades  according to reports and they cannot always hide behind the 'anti-Semitism' get out of jail free card.

Treat the people with respect or get out. Good guys in, bad guys out!

Well not quite, just not everything get reported to police or gets press coverage.

My local communtiy page had 2 incidents last week, Maybe Not major crimes, but enough for a business to warn others of their behavior, nationality wasn't mentioned in the OP, just a description of what happened and photos of those involved. everyone wrote the same nationality in the comments, were they all antisemites?

People have reported incidents elsewhere too. But you of course will ignore that.

So you don't actually know. How many locals were happy with the business they brought in?

The Pai Facebook page has over 11,200 comments on it with hundreds of Thais discussing the situation. The overwhelming majority are quite negative.

It is in Thai script, I am happy to post it here if given permission.

It also has lots of positive comments from local Thai's but since we cannot link to them its all a bit hypothetical

I am not attempting anything just asking for a link to your claim:

"No, the PM commented about there being 30,000 Israelis in Pai."

I did provide a link to the PMs remarks and it had nothing to do with that.

You are arguing over nothing, its quite clear to see  the dude clipped the fist line of the sentence for reference, same as you'd clip a headline, the sentence continued to say this was untrue. That's clearly stated in the OP.

Probably most are fine enough but that doesn't matter. Negativity bias is real for a reason.

If every 9 people from group X is polite but the 10th one punches you in the face are you going to keep taking group X or just ban all of them? That one punch in the face is worse than the 9 good encounters.

File photo from over 20 years ago and that "string of incidents" link takes you to this BP article:

Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra on Tuesday dismissed reports that many Israelis who settled in Pai had posted signs to ban Thais from entering their properties.

Another more conspiracy-minded post said some Israelis viewed Pai as a new “promised land” and that more than 30,000 had moved to the district.

“Hold on a moment,” Ms Paetongtarn said. “We’ve already verified that this is not true.”

So  nothing more than another Israeli bashing topic linked to the milked to death Pai handful of incidents.

Trust our resident Israeli basher Malcolm

European jew haters are all over the place in SE Asia, generally because they havent been able to make it in the West. There is an organized organization of Islamofacists out of Indonesia that promotes this stuff too.

13 deported just this year and we are only a month in.

They are just the incidents that have resulted in a deporting.

About 1 ever three days. It is getting a bit repetitive.

How many Brits been deported this year?

The report was in the South China Morning Post?? What is you point?

One should hope so.

How many positive comments from local Thais? How do you know that they are local? How do you know that it isn't just a Thai girlfriend of an Israeli expat?

That's just not true, find me a credible link stating that, not the South China Post based in Hong Kong that additionally does not state from where they took those stats or where from.
