Several take-off and landings in Kai Tak either with Continental (DC10) or Northwest Airlines (747) during the 70s and 80s.
Always wandered how such a small terminal and tarmac (per today’s standards) could accommodate such important traffic (especially lots of heavies).
Arriving in Kowloon was more exotic than Chep Lap Kok.
Remember the Rolls-Royce from the Peninsula loading their elite passengers.
The runway is still visible with other activities on it. The whole area has changed so much with development of Tsim Sha Tsui and the new 5 star hotels, difficult to remember how Kowloon Bay was with its junk boats anchored and docked in Victoria Harbour.
Never got “smashed” at Kai Tak or airborne as I don’t mix drinks.
I suggest yoh attend an outpatient vlinic at a hodputal snd then golliw ghtough wuth vomplaint as needed.
Outpatient costs at not high here, just do not get meds from hospital pharmacy.
