Biden the role model :cheesy:

Biden can ride a bicycle. I'd love to see Trump try.

The U.S. is a way over medicated country.  So many people on antidepressants, anti anxiety, anti fat medications, booze and weed.

Yep, went to a doctor once and he was trying to push anti-depressants on me even though that's not what I went to see him for.

Depression is part of life. It's manageable without medications.

He might be doing you a favor.

Yes, Big Pharma is corrupt and over-medicates for profit.

And I don't think he's doing anything shady.

I think he is genuinely interested in the well-being of the population.

Wasn't RFK Jr a heroin addict?  He's a whack job.

You can take the boy out of the jungle but you can't take the jungle out of the boy.....

Well, his father and uncle were assasinated?

Maybe a rough childhood?

Maybe precisely because he had the resilience to overcome a heroin addiction that he has the spiritual fortitude now to be an effective leader.

I guess suicides would be comforted by your medical expertise.

What an egregiously  ignorant post.

Biden is physically healthy. Dementia is something that is difficult to predict, and the descent into it can be rapid.

Your posts are saying you have it quite early.

There's no doubt Americans are unhealthy. 70% of them are either overweight or obese.

IMO the healthier you are, the less medication you need. The Romans knew it over 2000 years ago, when they coined the phrase " A healthy mind in a healthy body".

With diet and exercise, I reduced the 6 regular medications I used to take years ago to just one. I don't need anti-depressants, reflux medication, quinine ( cramps ), or ARB's any more.

I still take tramadol opportunistically, for back pain twice a week.

Unfortunately, Americans don't have a role model. Trump is obese, and his diet is terrible. Only his doctor knows how many meds he is on.

RFK as a recovered heroin addict is not much of a role model either.

It isn't just Americans who need a role model.............https://www.aihw.gov.au/reports/overweight-obesity/overweight-and-obesity/contents/summary

Clinical depression is a serious ailment that needs treatment as soon as possible. Seasonal and environmental depression can be manageable by yourself by removing yourself from the stressors, although it could mean moving away from your location, especially if you live in the northern zones where clouds, rain and snow are common place. Some need medication for symptoms to handle their depression and many go the suicide route because they didn't get the help they need. If a doctor who's competent "pushes" medication on you, it would mean he listened to you and your symptoms, and make a judgement based on them, thinking meds might help you. A doctor isn't going to tell you to take anti depressants if you didn't tell him you were having trouble. Some SSRI's are used for chronic pain so if that was the case that would be why he suggested them.

True. And where do you think our unhealthy eating habits came from?

Hint: One starts with M, the other with K.

You have to remember Americans ancestors are from all countries worldwide, and that conglomeration of thinking has all cultures and nationalities making up what has gone on there for centuries. Included in this is the manufacture of and selling, promoting, and distribution of junk food. People have a choice if they want to eat junk food. It's not forced upon them. Your Australian food markets are promoting the junk food for profit, the same as everywhere else. Parents also are to blame...........https://www1.racgp.org.au/newsgp/clinical/report-exposes-australia’s-bad-dietary-habits

GPs know they are overprescribing antidepressant drugs such as Prozac and Seroxat, but believe the lack of other forms of help for those suffering from mild depression and stress leaves them no choice

The findings are alarming in the wake of a decision last week by US drug regulators to demand a warning that some people might become suicidal on them, and the decision last year by the British regulators to ban most of them from use in children for the same reason.

I trust few doctors as they kill more people by over prescribing than a lot of other deaths but a competent doctor should know what he's ding as far as recommending anti depression meds for you. Did you have a pain problem, as that's one reason some SSRI"s are prescribed? People have and do get worse on the wrong anti depressants, so it's on the doctor to keep in touch with you on how things are going. Here I've noticed they don't.

He can barely walk down a step. There are numerous videos online. He also fell off his bike that's how good he can ride it.
