Popular Post muranp Posted 20 hours ago Popular Post Posted 20 hours ago Greetings, The last year: 2024-Q4, it was the first time to apply and obtain a Non-O eVisa from Malaysia, KB consulate, I applied and received the eVisa in PDF format via email in the next day, it was smooth and ideal solution to avoid long queues and most often troubled by facing the personal manner of the staff, sometimes they complicate the process and some other times they just process as usual, all depend on the staff mood and feelings, so this new electronic processing (eVisa) was an ideal solution really, Recently, I came again and applied for a non-o eVisa typically and everything similar to the last time, Today, passed 14 days and still under Pending Document Check (1) Additionally, I met with some other foreigners who are living in Thailand and they came here to apply also, some of them applied even longer than me and they still waiting!!! This is no way to be a reasonable process of eVisa, there is a personal manner involved in this to cause such over delayed pending process which is causing a sever harm and damages to foreigners apply for Thai eVisa, particularly these who have families and Thai kids to support, etc, losing businesses and work time, etc.. for what reason to be this? I would like to ask if there is any Govt agency where to send a complain message attached with supporting evidences about such unreasonable process, Applying for a visa is a public service provided by the Govt and should not be relayed on the personal manner of someone who came to occupy the position in the consulate/embassy and delay people in a such prolonged unreasonable reason, causing damages for people losing their businesses, and paying over-extra costs of staying in hotels, Also, this is a gentle call to the THAI GOVT to verify the long queues of applied Thai eVisa in Malaysia/KB consulate, and why should be like this? Please share your comments, where to lodge the complaint about such misconduct and misuse of the position and maintain some sort of transparency and equal justice to serve people reasonably and properly, Thanks, 1 1 3

A single entry Non O marriage OR a Multiple Entry Non O visa valid for one year. In unrelated thread... @Tod Daniels stated..... "Since all the consulates switched over to the eVisa online web-portal the year-long, multi-entry Non-O visa (for marriage, retirement) was discontinued"
Popular Post Upnotover Posted 19 hours ago Popular Post Posted 19 hours ago Get an extension next time. Come back today, 60 day exempt, convert to non-O, then extend. Sorted. 3

I may search for Thai ministries, PM office, Thai parlament, Ombusdman, anti-corruption office and all these related and send them an email to request verifying this misuse of a such public position and causing exaggerated, over delayed process, However, I shared this hoping for a better transparent and good conduct for the benefit of all. 1 3

muranp Posted 18 hours ago Author Posted 18 hours ago 1 minute ago, Briggsy said: Have you given them a phone, mate? As explained in above, the whole process usually done online, Apply today and received the approved PDF eVisa the next day delivered via email, What is happening now is very clear there is a personal stubborn and misconduct manner of the guy appointed to approve the eVisas, clear, simple and straightforward point, We have to bring this issue to the attention of the relevant Thai authorities, such misuse and misconduct are happening everyday and everywhere around the world, people who interested to make a contribution to improve a better human life, should send laud voice complaining such issues and eliminate such people from misuse of their public position, otherwise will be an endless tragedy and people keep paying piainful prices, my contribution to send one single email and CC all Thai relevant authorities, ministries and PM office, ombudsman office, anti-corruption and all these related, let them read and see what's happening behind the closed walls, do your part if you face such kind of troubles as well, 1 1
DrJack54 Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago OP, best to quit with the rants. If eVisa not working for you then enter Thailand visa exempt. Obtain a Non O marriage at your local immigration office in Thailand. After 60 days obtain 12 month extension. 1

Briggsy Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Might be an idea to give the consulate a phone. You may get some useful information that may allow you to make an informed decision. Or if you wish to take it up with higher authorities, any complaint regarding the behaviour of Thai consular staff can be made to the MFA.

Send email with CC to all relevant authorities: MOFA, PM office, Ombudsman office, anti-corruption, Parliament (policy makers) and many more to list, even Thai media, newspapers, Bang pst, The Nation, etc.. put all of them in front of this misuse or pulic position, I still insisting this issue replied of personal stubborn manner, not related to policy to take such a long processing, pending checking, bla bla bla,,, it took 14 days already and still pending?????? doing what like this??? Anyway, will do the proper action accordingly.

BTW : I also have never received an eVisa overnight. I often obtain eVisa to Vietnam and that a 4-5 day turn around. In any event you can continue to complain or as suggested obtain the Non O in Thailand from visa exempt entry.

Will achieve nothing. BTW: Can you add my complaints regarding TM30, TM47, etc etc 1
ronnie50 Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago Like @Briggsy said, if the eVisas are all being handled by the various consolates now, then just phone them and ask their help to get it moving. Or, assuming you have the right for visa exemption, then just arrive on that as others suggested. That's what i did then changed it to an O Visa. Fighting with the Thai authorities is never a good idea BTW. 1

Most of the time 7 to 21 days is normal thru most countries embassies not 1, 2 or 3 days so you got incredible service the first time. 1
Popular Post CharlieH Posted 14 hours ago Popular Post Posted 14 hours ago Seems to me, the OP is making wild assumptions. Totally unfounded accusations based on speculation. All you actually know is there appears to be a hold up in the process, that's it, that's all you actually know. To assume their os a person deliberately holding the process is speculative. It could be an IT issue, it could be any number of reasons, but you dont "know" and you shouldn't make unfounded accusations with absolutely no evidence. To claim misuse of power or misconduct is absurd with no facts others than there is an apparent delay or hold up in the process. 2 1

Screaming, even. I wish you luck. 1

Most of the Thai embassies in SE Asia specifically state that processing time for e-visa is 10-15 business days. So that could be 2-3 weeks, longer if there are any holidays in there. When doing official business, always take the greatest estimate provided by the entity, and then add a few days to account for any complications. Also, if there are any issues in your submission and they contact you to get additional information, that usually starts the timer over again. 1

You may want to be very careful with your approach and what you claim as you may find you create more problems for yourself by making claims that have no facts to back them up. Defamation issues in Thailand can take a strange twist from what you think

muranp Posted 14 minutes ago Author Posted 14 minutes ago In the past couple of decades I applied and obtained Thai visas dozens of times, Categories: non-ED, B, non-o, Applied in Malaysia, Cambodia, Vietnam, south Korea, the process never took more than 3 days, Always in 1 or 2 days done! And regarding the e-visa, I applied the first time in December 2024, and received it in the next day!! I can't understand why many comments replied as trying to say that I am a new comer to this matter of e-visa, or have no idea about Thai visa processing, etc,, why taking the topic to such aside fallacies instead to focus on the main point and how can we find a solution? without having accumulated experiences in this process I won't even know about or come to share my complain here, I will just ask and get to know about, brainless! Why some members didn't see my complain here is for the good reason to benefit many sides: 1. To benefit Thai system for a better and smoother service, 2. Bring this issue to your awareness - foreigners community in Thailand. 3. Help to solve this current ongoing issue for foreigners locked here for several weeks, 4. This is not fighting or defaming anyone, it's a plain simple complain about something wrong happening. 5. Why the old working style was just 1-2, or 3 days max was faster than this electronic (paperless) processing style? the online system is working properly, every day login and check,, status: pending to check!!! I did my effort to benefit all sides here, stop such wrong practices for the benefit of all side, Anyway, you can explain it the way you like, God bless and peace!
