As the high season concludes, Pattaya continues to captivate European tourists, many of whom are choosing to extend their holidays. This enchanting beach town remains a prime destination, showcasing an allure that transcends the typical travel calendar.

 

Earlier this week in Pattaya, the areas of Yinyom and Cozy Beach were buzzing with activity. A lively mix of Thai locals and international tourists crowded the sands, soaking up the sun or enjoying the stunning coastal vistas. Known for their soft white sands and clear waters, these beaches offer a serene escape from the busier parts of the city.

 

One notable feature of Cozy Beach is the absence of jet ski rentals. Unlike Pattaya’s busier main beach, where such activities are common, Cozy Beach maintains its tranquillity by prohibiting these rentals, creating a safer and quieter environment ideal for swimming and relaxation.

 

Sarawut, a local who rents out beach chairs and once operated jet ski rentals, describes this shift in the area's atmosphere. He observes a changing demographic, with many tourists now hailing from India and Russia.

 

"Most visitors here are seeking a tranquil experience, with families and couples making up the majority of our guests," says Sarawut. "Thai visitors tend to gather during weekends when the beaches are most vibrant."

Although the ban on jet skiing has affected his earnings, Sarawut notes that revenue from chair rentals and food stalls remains robust, signalling stable local commerce.

 

The resilience of Pattaya’s tourism industry is a testament to the town's enduring appeal. Furthermore, it stands to gain from Thailand's upcoming grand initiative: the Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism & Sports Year 2025.

 

This ambitious campaign aims to attract 40 million tourists, a goal that would surpass the previous year's 38 million visitors, generating an estimated 3 trillion baht (£68.7 billion) in revenue.

 

This continued interest in Pattaya during the off-peak season highlights the city's unique ability to cater to both leisure seekers and cultural enthusiasts year-round.

 

With its blend of relaxation, local culture, and stunning natural beauty, Pattaya is poised to maintain its status as a leading destination for global travellers, even outside the traditionally busy periods, reported The Thaiger.

I thought that TAT did not smoke cannabis, but it seems they are further away than we think.. What a lot of crap written here... Tourists will flee away, with the entrance fee and the digital entrance card coming up, the double standards in everything, the non alcohol sales and ban hours and the Buddhistic holidays... and of course the vaping.. It are all things that in many countries are no issues, only here. Yes Thailand was a nice destination but they have broken down the tourism sector and don't know how to repair it and now implementing things that will do the opposite. Tourists from Europe are being urged to have nearby holidays too as for the climate change.. Some airports will have higher taxes, and the tickets will be more expensive.. But TAT doesn't care, they have all the knowledge.

And Pattaya is still known as the sex capital of the world, but nowadays a lot of criminals are being there too from all nations and so also Thais, and a lot of  unexpainable falls from balconies. What a family resort?

The similar story in Pattaya Mail seems to forget that tourists generally spend more freely than long stay visitors.

 

I know at least for most people I know they are less price sensitive when on vacation versus living someplace longer term.

 

I think part of Pattayas appeal is location, convenience, availability of western food, cost, women, variety of entertainment, availability and variety of things to do.  Why not perfect there are many people who agree the good outweighs the bad.
