For non-demanding usage, it is fine. Some might complain that it has just 8GB of RAM. but I don't think that you will.

Price is 16,000 baht or $467 US. I'd be happy for you to point out anything with better specs for a similar price, like I said just for home use no gaming.

That's a decent price for a 24" all-in-one Lenovo with those specs.  It certainly has a strong enough CPU and sufficient memory for ordinary home use.  It's easy and cheap to add more memory if you need it.  As long as you're not trying to play the most advanced games or edit videos in 4k, you should be fine.

That should be more than enough.   Considering what the Apollo missions had and used for those instant calculation for landing on and returning to Earth from the Moon with

512GB relates to an SSD, not a HDD and it's fine. You are just ''overegging the pudding'.

They aren't going to come back with anything better. Some people are just good at being negative. If they had something better in mind, they would have included it at the time.

I don't know why people quote prices in US$ when in Thailand. Out of touch I guess.

Unless you're a gamer, or wish to do several hours of heavy video/graphics work each day, it will be fine. Perfect for email, business letters, watching videos, etc.

Is there a mini PC (with Win 11) that has similar (or better) specs under 12,000 baht? That allows for another 5000 baht to spend on a monitor to keep the price roughly the same, ie 16-17000 baht.

I'm no longer in Thailand some 7 years after a 32 year stint there. 

Hence why I quote in USD $ and not Thai Baht. 

Last I checked ex rate 4 years ago, was 25 to dollar, so I thought it was $650. 

Did not know rate is now 35 to dollar. 

I gave my opinion based on what could be gotten here, so many better options. 

At $400 here can get a lot, for Thailand is decent, for him in this regard considering his age and usage. 

Would come with a warranty, as everything here does also. 

Still I would bring RAM to 16GB and up the SSD to 1TB.

But not really as my post was not intended to do such, so get over it.

For a basic PC for home, I'd buy a refurbished unit for no more than a couple hundred bucks. You can also buy a little PC stick that plugs into the HDMI port of your TV. I bought one for about $100 a couple of years ago and it still works just fine

That's a lot of words to say that you got it all wrong. Not useful to compare against what is being sold in the U.S.A.

There is no cogent reason other than some arbitrary figure inside your head. 8GB of RAM is also adequate to the task, though of course 16GB may be a little better. 

You just over exaggerated on everything, damaged your own credibility and then made it worse by coming back and being rude.

Yes, but then you lose your 3 year local warranty and any support you might need going forward. They are better for people with some confidence with minor maintenance.

I have a Lenovo AIO that I bought new from Lazada 7 years ago which has been trouble free, however the monitor is starting to lose pixels and I have a line at the top of the screen where any text is now unreadable. Think it's time for an upgrade.

It's really a personal choice. 

Someone a bit more confident with PCs might go the Mini PC + 27" 4k monitor route.
