Well, Simai, firstly thanks for a cogent post, which I will now respond to in detail:

1) Zelensky presenting a document with 25 times the Russians were naughty is a bit like North Korea presenting a list of 25 grievances against South Korea. You have to consider the source. Can we believe everything Zelensky says? Obviously not. If you look at the LONG history of agreements between Russia and Ukraine you will see that it was in fact Ukraine who started not abiding by agreements made, which in turn led Russia to do likewise.

2) Indeed, as we saw Zelensky is HIGHLY argumentative, and blinded by hatred of Russia, so there can be little progres with him at the helm. No doubt his performance in the Oval Office will hasten his departure, a total fail if ever there was one.

3) Zelensky is indeed saying there should be NO discussion with Russia, only with him. Which frankly is moronic. Even Churchill said Jaw-Jaw is preferable to war-war, and Zelensky would do well to study this statement.

4) Russia's "aggressive actions" were preceded by Ukraine making clear it was about to switch alliances, and wanting to join NATO. Just as the USA had the right to invade Panama to protect its security sphere so Russia has the right to invade Ukraine to protect the Russia security sphere. Russia and the Ukraine were allies, the fact that this war happened is due in part largely to actions by Ukraine (and indeed the West).

5) Trump is not "capitulating", he is wisely trying secure peace to avoid women, children and soldiers being killed for no reason other than the chest thumping vanity of some. Those of us who are citizens of the world should be very thankful to Mr Trump for doing his utmost to avoid what Britain almost unwittingly precipitated, World War 3 due to misleading Ukraine.

Well said.

If they actually believe that Putin will accept any "deal" that doesn't make it easier for him to take total control of Ukraine with at least a pro Russian puppet government is delusional.

If  you believe that Putin wants total control of Ukarine, you've swallowed the cheap propaganda spewed by the Ukrainians, which is regrettable.

Clearly Putin never wanted the entire Ukraine, or control of all Ukraine. He just wanted a friendly  neighbour who toes the line. Is that too much ask for?

It's too bad Europe didn't learn this lesson sooner.

Yes Ukraine is now in greater peril, but they're not going to surrender, and it's not totally hopeless for them either.

Lol, Ukraine's position is utterly hopeless. Even WITH US aid they were losing. Imagine without US billions.

Ukraine is doomed thanks to Zelenksy's poor leadership and miscalculations.

Trump’s behavior has rattled Taiwan too. Zelensky has the support of his people and most of Europe. Ukraine is fighting for their sovereignty and not be subjugated by Russia. They will never surrender with or without Trump’s support. The free world will step up their support.

1. Seems just a childish and mocking interpretation of the serious matter of Zelenskky keeping Trump informed. Remember that neither Trump nor JD Vance have actually visited the Ukraine.

2. Reads like you are writing on behalf of the Kremlin. It was JD Vance who interjected and tried to belittle Zelenskky.

You are pretending that this all started in 2022 with Boris Johnson. More RT propaganda. Naive or simply Trolling?

3.. Please, point out where he stated that during the meeting. I have posted the full video of the meeting in an earlier post. Let me know of the time stamp position.

4. Are you referring to Russia's aggressive action in annexing Crimea or some other aggressive action?

5. Of course Trump is not capitulating. He is trying to force the Ukrainians to capitulate and gain himself and his friends some mining rights. Again, you are trying to make a false connection to Britain and Boris Johnson being responsible for also not capitulating in the way that Trump wants Ukraine to do.

Yes they will and as you suggest, the USA tragically is no longer part of the free world. Pretty jarring to realize that as an American -- but that's our new reality. The problem for Europe though is that because this is such a sudden shock, they are not unified enough, not budgeted enough, and lack the immediate arms needs for Ukraine at this time. It could happen in a year or two but Ukraine needs to survive that long.

That sounds like control to me. Insert your people to run the country. Offer Russian passports to those in the east and support them in trying to annex the eastern parts including Crimea.

These are illegal and aggressive actions and you obviously support them.

Me neither. Mostly comedy. The left have daily meltdowns. Trump winning has destroyed their moral. I"m loving it.

The free world has responded to the betrayal of Trump and has convene a summit in London on Sunday with the focus on shoring up support for Ukraine. Just hard to fathom a gathering of the free world without USA but this is the reality of an American President gone rogue.

"We are partners. We are very close partners. We have to be fair. We have to be very free," said Zelenskyy, sounding far more like an American president than Donald Trump did today.

This is an astonishing display of statesmanship. Rather than give into ego or pettiness, Zelenskyy is rising above Donald Trump's childish bullying to serve his people. Zelenskyy isn't interested in following Trump down into the gutter.

He's interested in securing a lasting peace for his innocent embattled country, a task made all the more difficult by Trump's kowtowing to Vladimir Putin. Zelenskyy is also correct that these conversations should take place behind closed doors instead of being exploited to create a media circus. Trump and Vance ambushed him in the Oval Office in front of reporters because they knew that it would make headlines and entertain their base.🤔

Crawling back after being put in his place.

Nobody wants peace and an end to the war more than Ukraine.

What they don't want to do is to surrender.

Now Putin has his puppet in the White House it's only going to get worse for them.

No, what actually happened is they tried to insult him for not wearing a suit, with JD Vance acting totally unprofessionally, laughing along. When Zelenskky replied in kind to the Press, JD Vance took it further in baiting Zelenskky. Trump actually supported Zelenskky in his choice of clothing. So JD came up with another bait. Why is that child in the room anyway?

Take a look:

Zelenskyy proved himself an incapable failure whose in way over his head, a total amateur hour clown show he put on.

President Trump has spent the day attacking Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky, calling him a "dictator" and deepening the rift between the two leaders.

His attacks came after Zelensky, reacting to US-Russia talks in Saudi Arabia from which Kyiv was excluded, said the US president was "living in a disinformation space" governed by Moscow.

Speaking at a Saudi-backed investment meeting in Florida, Trump said the only thing Zelensky "was really good at was playing Joe Biden like a fiddle".

The "dictator" slur quickly prompted criticism from European leaders including German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who said "it is simply wrong and dangerous to deny President Zelensky his democratic legitimacy".
