If you are still miserable I suggest you stop typing and get out and about and cheer both yourself up and us because you would be away from your keyboard.

I go out everyday and enjoy it. You are posting from the UK.

The best option would be to hit Mega Bangna, the best mall in Bangkok which has food options straight out of paradise.

Nah ... best food options ... ICONSIAM

Was there 16 Feb  ...  whoa, and way different than prior visits.  So much food, good, although, they took up most of the old 'floating market' area, not so good, as that was very photogenic.

Got weekday, as weekends, and it was jam packed.

It's great. Change of plans. Now have a full day yippie. Boat trip to Icon is good.

Such hypocrisy.  You may want to take a minute to look back on some of your own irrational and baseless posts about Trump when characterising other members' comments as "rubbish".

If my posts are bad why do they keep reading them? Where does he get 2000 from? Oh well. I won 15 days so most like them. If not who cares. Its a forum not cancer. We should all enjoy life.

Yes, good food options, oh my God, you cannot sit down! So crowded! No tables. Total nightmare. But anyway that's food court, in Mega Bangna I meant the restaurants. Authentic Korean, Japanese, it's food heaven really.

Plenty of those also, basic, mid price, or Hi So upstairs with view overlooking the river & city ...

You really need to check out ICONSIAM, best mall ever ... really.  But yes, weekday, not the weekend.  Weekday, you have it to yourself, almost.

I did check it out, and yes the food court had a lot of options, but whoever decided not to put enough tables and chairs should be fired. It's a total nightmare, you get your food and spend 50 minutes trying to find a table.  It's crowded like a rabitt warren. I don't like Icon Siam at all. Plus it's a nightmare to get there. Again the boat docks crowded like a Dunkirk evacuation.

Not quite sure what you mean by that, I didn't say that your posts are bad, was referring to theshu25's posts, not yours.

Agree, not well thought out for the customer, but hell of  rent maker.   Was there on a Sunday, and wanted to show my Brother & sis the 'floating market', which basically disappeared, with few exceptions, and nothing sold from the boats any more, like when first opened.

We had already eaten at 'Natura Cafe' and highly recommend that 👍👍

Another reason for hitting ICONSIAM was the view from Napalai Terrace at night.  Quite nice, and next to StarCrap, which we got some treats & water at.   Pretty sad, go to a coffee shop, and drink water ... that's a bit telling :cheesy:

You didn't 'win' anything. If you constantly post inane drivel you automatically go to the top of that pointless leaderboard.

Thanks for the tip! ICONSIAM could be very enjoyable if it were as busy as Mega Bangna. Have you tried Mega Bangna? Lovely spacious paradise mall, the best mall I have seen by far in terms of restaurant choices, design and not crazy crowded. Top quality Chinese, Japanesee and Korean restaurants and not busy at all for the size of the place.

Surprisingly not made it over there yet.  Even though been to BITEC a couple times.  Which is just up the road a bit.

BKK needs to work on their public trans.  Peeked at Gmap, curious, and it takes <20 to drive, or 1 hr on public trans, now, and it's straight shot between them.

I totally agree, transport in Bangkok is not ideal, to get to Mega Bangna I ended up taking the public bus, fun memories and the trip cost 20 baht, but it took such a long time.

I actually enjoy the bus, and one of the best ways to see the city.  Especially at rush hour, all the activity as it craws along it's route.

Lot of the later snaps were taken from the bus, after knocking round China Town ...

I actually liked the bus as well, it is just a bit slow. Great photos of Chinatown btw.
