Interesting.  I've always thought that someone who wants to be transgender has a mental health issue.  So this possibly is okay to be considered.  Unless it's a sex crime, where a "man" attacks a woman, the sentence should indeed be two-tier.  It should be trebled or more.

Mental health is already a factor in sentencing. 

 

There was no need to specify transgenders in these new guidelines. Although it does provide an interesting opportunity for a middle aged straight white male to move off the bottom tier in this multi tiered justice system, as long as he doesn't mind wearing a dress and a bit of lippy.

Do you have links to back that claim up?  I agree its not equal as when was the last time you saw a black grandmother sentenced to 31 months in jail for making an offensive social media post?  To save you the searching this has never happened.   But seems to happen to white people on a regular basis.   2 tier justice and 2 Tier policing are commonplace in the UK and this merely puts it into writing.    You are aware its racist to treat people differently based on the colour of their skin?  This is exactly what you are supporting here.  Racism.
