You could sell tickets and make a it a slow death and without  a hood as well , the last thing that they would ever see would be my smiling face

With a decapitation they might even wink at you.

I know he did. There are disturbing reasons why he opted for this. And I won't just because you say so. Freedom of speech and all that.

In my opunin, those who support the death penalty should be prepared, if called upon, to attend a non-sanitized execution. I;'d rather lock them up and throw away the key. Reinstate the idea of the oubliette. 40 years of eternal darkness. Suicide by hangman is too easy a way out.

I don't support the death penalty. But in life we must choose our battles and this scumbag isn't worth the time, expense and litigation. I also don't really like abortion but don't get too stirred up about it. What is weird is the hypocrisy  of being pro-life and pro-death penalty or being pro-choice and against it.

By your standards those that support abortion should have to perform one.

I don't support the death penalty AS CURRENTLY APPLIED.

Too many cases of poor people convicted with bad legal representation.  And unequally applied to minorities.

In cases of especially heinous crimes where guilt is not in doubt I believe it would be a deterrent if it happened within a year of verdict.  Taking 20 years for appeals and the like doesn't work because most people capable of committing a crime worthy of this penalty don't think that far ahead.

It only hurts for a very brief time I have heard. As Gary Gilmore famously said prior to his firing squad execution in 1977 "Let's do it"

It is unclear if Nike ad motto "Just do it" was a spin off of Gilmore's last words

The Adverts, a British punk rock band did a song about him.

He donated his eyes to be used for a transplant for someone.

Think in truth,  only his corneas were used.

Gary Gilmores eyes. 1977.

Firing squad executions should be banned across America. Lethal injection should be the sole method of execution.

He had the choice , Chair , Injection or Firing squad.
Hiis victims David and Gladys Larke didn't have that choice , they just got the Baseball bat .
