In other words the US created Trump to be where he is. The last election was a choice between bad and very very bad. The less bad won. What sort of insane society ends up with a choice between a flawed rich man and a cackling idiot? If we can look beyond the shouting and crying, how did US politics become so broken that no reasonable person with sane policies can win the election ( or even tries )? 1

It's not something most people get involved in. Far as I'm concerned it's just gambling for rich people that is rigged for the house ( the 1% ) and riven with insider trading. 1
