If Greenland does become independent, they may choose to join NATO, which would oppose invasion by an enemy. Greenland has free healthcare, free education. What invader could offer that?

They might even choose to join the EU, building a bridge to Canada.

That sure would be the mother of unintended consequences following Trumps tariff threats.

I am damn sure Greenlanders don't want America's screwed-up health and taxation system, and they don't want the inevitable carpetbaggers coming in to pillage their resources.

I am also reasonably sure they don't want a 78 yo grifter issuing a flurry of executive orders which tell them how to think.

No country in the world wants any of that.

Poor @Yagoda thinks he's clever starting Oh Greenland and is now crying in his sleep about "al lot/your lot" stalkers.

Thing is Mr. @Yagoda as you talk like you own the USA and therefore the world (in your sick imagination) everything you say sounds like a tantrum outburst by a tootler in a supermarket.

I that way I would not be surprised if you are actually nr.47.

Awwwww, isnt that cute.

Yagoda supports his country and Trump: Winner. So much winning, lets see what I got this morning:. Oh what a ton of winning.

What @Yagoda, Trump, Musk and their cult followers don't seem to understand, is that money cannot buy everything.

It bought Alaska and the Americans having been trying to buy Greenland since then, several times. It's just a haggle over how much.

Looks like Yagoda just supports a bunch of biased foxnews links. You need to get out more.

You mean the most popular news source in America?

Those were quick, here are more:

Winning, winning, winning. Do you read the Guardian too? Its considered Left Wing Propaganda by many but its always good to get DIVERSITY in thought right? You dont oppose diversity, do you?

Given current public sentiment in both Denmark and Greenland, I very much doubt that the US will buy the latter any time soon.
