Will this allow 7-11 & Tesco to deliver alcohol when shopping in their apps ?

Or is that the chains own choice not to sell it online 🤔

I think online sales is a separate issue.

Microbreweries and good beer?  Nope!

You are imagining paradise, it will never happen.  Those who sell bad beer have too much influence.

Might give smaller alcohol producers and distributors a chance up against the bigger guys.

But I think we know what when there is an opportunity for corruption, it is probably intended by design at this point.

Does this mean no more massive "CHANG mineral waterbillboards around Thailand  🙄

When new laws around advertising alcohol were first circulated, they were backed by companies that almost own the local liquor market. They wanted cartoons banned from any and all packaging. The excuse being that cartoons draw in children and therefore are a moral hazard. Johnny Walker was the intended target, but the more failed. Just shows to go ya how far they will lie, cheat and steal if they can.

One tiny, tiny leap forward. Now get rid of the stupid prohibition hours.

The breweries will now try to convince us on TV that their beer is great

Sigh!!!

Let’s ban alcohol in certain places and the sale of alcohol on certain days and hours of the day to curb the “drinking problem”, but let’s also allow advertising for alcohol!

How the hell does that make sense?!

I remember years ago seeing a Dewar’s ad next to the freeway near the Conrad hotel. It said: ‘Dewar’s - the farther away you get from a problem, the smaller it becomes!’

But it isn't that great!🤢

They'll have young celebs lining up enjoying a beverage to say how great it is.

Well paid of course

Banning the advertising of alcohol does nor stop people from becoming alcoholics.

Nor will there suddenly become a rush of alcoholics if adverts for alcohol appear.

I suspect that everyone in Thailand is aware of alcohol being available 24 hours a day - somewhere.

It was just a repressive control to allow for arresting and fining some people.

Do people really believe that the millions of signs advertising Singha are really for their mineral water?

I don’t think you understand the power of advertising. It will certainly encourage kids to start drinking watching their favorite celebrities endorsing it.

Advertising is allowed.  However you can not use images of the product.  Only your logo is allowed.

In the UK it's not allowed for persons who appear to be under 25 to appear in adverts for alcoholic drinks.

I would prefer more prohibition hours. Alcohol is arguably the worst drugs in the world together with benzos. The withdrawals are killing.

No , some benzos are way, way better than alcohol.

Better for your liver too.

Strange world , alcohol encouraged , now with extra advertising , weed ok , but benzos hard to get ,

even illegal to import.

Benzo meds and alcohol are the only drugs that can lead to death after quitting. That's what makes it so dangerous,

The withdrawals are excruciating and can last for months. Alcohol is a very poor choice of intoxicant.

I don't think so. I love living n this beautiful country. My opinion about alcohol doesn't matter, i don't touch the stuff, but it's fun to wind the alkies among us up.
