New York's highest court strikes down noncitizen voting in NYC

The 6-1 ruling blocks a New York City law allowing green-card holders and individuals with work permits who have lived in the city for at least a month to vote in local municipal elections.

The liberal tears were flowing while they wrote this:

At a Tuesday meeting of the state's Economic Investment Committee, officials approved a 12-year reimbursement grant worth nearly $13.7 million, according to a press release from North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper. The money is contingent on J&J meeting certain job creation and investment targets.

Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry had travelled to South Korea in October and met with Hyundai to discuss the investment plan. <SKIP>

Numerous companies have announced planned investments following Trump's return to the White House, though some of those statements have included previously announced plans.

Hyundai in 2022 said it would invest about $10 billion through 2025 in the United States.
