A serious accident occurred in Pattaya early today, March 26, involving a Russian motorcyclist who collided with a sedan. The incident took place at about 5.19 a.m. on Pattaya Sai 3 road in front of an entertainment venue in Banglamung district, Chonburi.

Police Lieutenant Phupha Hongyakul from the Pattaya City police station responded swiftly to the scene after receiving a report. The motorcyclist, Mr. Aleksanor Vasilev, 38, was found in a precarious condition lying across the bonnet of the sedan, having suffered significant injuries to his legs, hips, face, and head, bleeding heavily. Emergency responders from Sawang Boriboon Dhammasathan promptly transported him to Pattaya City Hospital for urgent medical treatment.

The driver of the sedan, identified as Mr. Wirasak, 55, explained that he had just left an entertainment venue and was attempting to change lanes towards Sue San intersection when Mr. Vasilev, riding a large motorcycle at high speed, collided with his vehicle. Despite attempting to brake, Mr. Wirasak was unable to prevent the crash.

Police investigators have documented the scene and are currently reviewing CCTV footage to ascertain the precise cause of the accident. Further details will be unveiled as the investigation proceeds, reported The Thaiger.

Being a private hospital I expect that the Russian will have to pay a massive foreigner's charge for treatment. In view of his injuries and the "Foreigner's Charges", his bill may well be between 500,000 - 1,000,000 Baht. I wish him a speedy recovery and a happy bill payment day.

If it appears he doesn't have the money to pay the whole amount he will soon be kicked on to a public hospital

It was reported on the local radio station that the Russian is dead.

Insurance not an issue.
