WHO SUBMIT?

Applies regardless of any visa currently held including any re-entry pass. Long Term Resident visa included according to BOI. Even though the form is formated as a visitor (the term "visitor" is mentioned in TDAC videos and articles) to Thailand, your country of residence cannot be Thailand and form requires information for departure from Thailand back to your origin country as if the trip to Thailand is part of a round trip.

Hopefully there will be further refinement in the form.

From Tod (OP) Updated info....

"It will go live the 28th of April so people arriving May 1st can apply
AND
It will have Thailand as a choice in country of residence too
"

Frankly irrelevant IMO.

Put passport country.

Putting the country of passport(as the place of residence).

I noticed it makes a problem.

As telephone number filling is also mandatory.

I only have phone number in Thailand; nowhere else.

If I list country of citizenship, I cannot fill it.

Yes you can.  It fills the country code based on the country you enter.  But you can change it.  Even if not it is of no consequence, they are not going to call you.

The window for doing it opens 3 days prior. You can do it up to departure.

You can do it after arriving too; just as it was possible to get a TM6 form at immigration if you didn't get it on the flight. It will, of course, mean that you will spend more time in the airport before you are able to go through immigration.

So they say. That would be a disaster.

First up free wifi would need to be available airside for online form.

Also assumes the average tourist has an IQ and can drive a cell phone.

TM6 paper form very different.

Indeed previously staff would check the immigration lines and hand out the TM6 forms for the dills that didn't fill it in on the plane.

They have to have a backup in case the traveller for some reason cannot present the QR-code. Be it lack of ability, internet, or power on the mobile.

It can happen to everyone; I went to Malaysia shortly after they introduced their version. I filled the form and loaded the email on the phone so it was ready to present at arrival. However, when unlocking the phone, it tried to access the internet and wouldn't show the email when there were no internet. Thus, I had to use  their backup system - a guy filling the form for me on his phone. No free internet at arrival back then. I plan to bring a printed QR code when arriving in Thailand next time.

Does not appear to have Thailand as a country of residence and what visa number do they want the 25 year old one or the re entry number? sometimes they call that a visa

Thailand will be an option in the actual version that goes live.

Obviously, whatever your actual visa or re-entry number is.

For anyone arriving by land, that's how they'll do it because most land arrivals will probably not have the form filled out in advance.

Just imagine the hordes of Laotians, Cambodians and Malaysians using passports who will have no idea how to fill out this form (but they will be required to, unless traveling on a day border pass or something).

And do you think it would be a problem if you fill out departure information within 60 days but then you decide to extend 30 days more at your local immigration and remain more time in the country?

I think it would not be a problem.

Long-term or permanent foreign residents in Thailand are advised to select “Thailand” under “Country of Residence,” which will be available once the system is activated.

They have now added Thailand to the list.

In any event just put passport country.

Hooray, if Thailand is now on the list.

Has the URL of the webpage been changed? On

https://tdac.immigration.go.th/arrival-card/#/tac/arrival-card/add

I still see no "THAILAND" between "TANZANIA" and "TIMOR-LESTE"

and no "THE KINGDOM OF THAILAND" between "THE KINGDOM OF SWEDEN" and "THE KINGDOM OF TONGA"

I just looked at the site.

TDAC Thailand Digital Arrival Card

Regarding the country of residence.

What about an expat living here year around; not living anywhere else?

And their list doesn't include Thailand.

Because you have only a temporary permission to stay in Thailand, you are not a resident of Thailand for immigration purposes. As others have suggested, use your passport country.

I listed Switzerland as my country of citizenship and a fictitious Thai mobile phone number, and I was able to proceed to the next page on the online form.

I'm quite fond of one way flights these days. I have the visas for this in each country I visit including Thailand.

There is no return flight - I'll book one when I decide to travel which might be a few weeks prior to departure and I'll stay as long as I want each time I come which could be a few days, months or even years.

A lot of people don't have a fixed or even any specific schedule when they travel.

In the current version of the online TDAC form, the fields for departure information are optional. One can proceed to the next page if they are left blank.

And do you think departure information can also be skipped if it will still be optional in the tdac final version of 28th April? Even if you would come with a tourist visa?

Good morning.

Thank you for sharing your recent experience with that cyber arrival card.

I found it really helpful.

Glad to know they don't cross refer the Country of Residence, and the Country of Phone number.

That is something I never expected.

Thank you for your advice again, and have a good day.

When I did a mock run with the TDAC, I put country of residencee: Australia (even though I live in Thailand).

In turn for phone number it auto filled had +61.

That's country code for Oz.

I tried to change it to Thailand+66 and it didn't like that. (maybe it was me)

Anyway I subsequently put a random Oz cell #.

No problem.

Do you expect they plan to give you a bell to say hi.

Hi, again.

I just tried that online arrival card filling.

As you kindly advised, I could proceed without meeting any hindrance.

Thank you again for your kind reply post.

Hi, thank you for your advice.

I just did my mock run with that site.

And as you stated,  I found Country of Residence is one thing, and the Thai phone number is another; met no obstacles while filling.

I thank you again for your kind reply post.

It's back to the future TM6 days. For accommodation in tourist days for address  I would write Nana Plaza Soi 4 Sukhumvit.

Strangely no one every paid a visit.

Thank you for your post, this time for your sense of humor.

LOL.
