Given what was the consensus before the war....I mean....actually, I've forgotten what Putin demanded it be called...that Ukraine didn't have a chance. I'd say it was a pretty spectacular success. You think Putin is pleased with how it's turned out?

He called it "special military operation" I think. Interesting take. You're right Putin is not happy how things have gone. Though when the peace deal is signed i suspect he'll be a lot happier than Zelensky.

That sums it up. The Democrat apologists can spew their vile hatred with their lies and misrepresentations, at least Trump is getting good work done and keeping his word as much as he can. Even if not all his policies are spot on a good 70% are superb.

Not sure what your seeing but apparently your not looking at facts, impacts and results. Just take Trump and Musk at their word and all will be ok right ?

I am seeing real work being done. The gutting of the bloated government bureaucracy for instance. Something past administrations should have done a long time ago, if future generations are to have a chance in the US. Very brave and tough. But necessary. To lower the burden on ALL taxpayers.

I am seeing a recalcritant Ukrainian nationalist being pulled by the leash to the negotiation table to secure peace in Europe.

I am seeing criminal gangs being deported from the US making the streets safer.

I am seeing Hyundai making huge investments in the US, creating jobs, as they are trying to avoid tariffs.

I am seeing a golden age for the US, as the Dollar will be devaluated and US firms will gain a competitive edge.

In short, I am seeing more results in a few weeks than in 4 years of Biden.

Because the great thing about tariffs is that they only work in 1 direction. Absolutely none of the America's trading partners are going to increase their tariffs in response to U.S. hikes. At least that will be the case in oppositeworld

I am seeing Hyundai making promises. So did Foxconn.

But I  too have a vision. I  see Hyundai manufacturing lots of vehicles right now:

Hyundai shows off its new $7.6B electric vehicle plant in Georgia as Trump announces tariffs

"Hyundai celebrated the opening of its new $7.6 billion electric vehicle factory in Georgia on Wednesday by announcing plans to expand its production capacity by two-thirds to a total of 500,000 vehicles per year.

The news came as President Donald Trump announced 25% tariffs on auto imports at the White House. Hyundai will be spared from those tariffs on its U.S.-made vehicles. Trump praised the South Korean automaker on Monday, saying its American investments are “a clear demonstration that tariffs very strongly work.”

Hyundai began producing EVs just shy of six months ago at its sprawling manufacturing plant in southeast Georgia. More than 1,200 people are working there."

The big bad blue state is number 1.

Wrong!

"The data released by the National Center for Education Statistics in January 2025 shows that Louisiana, New Mexico, Mississippi, and Texas have the lowest literacy rates in the U.S., with an average score under 254."

The highest number of illiterate adults among these four states comes from Texas, due to its large population, while Louisiana, Mississippi, and New Mexico have much smaller populations in comparison.

And your “You don’t post anything with substance or fact”—that’s just an obvious projection.

In short, you are obviously all-seeing, yet you cannot see that the Emperor is not wearing any clothes!

I can see what is going on in the US. Yes, Trump has his problems, his support for Israel is a concern with potential for catastrophe, and yes, of course smoke and mirrors and lies are part of the daily parcours, but in terms of things getting done, by Golly are they getting done.

Isn't it incredible how Putin's claims of only seeking to cleanse Ukraine of fascism gained traction overnight under Trump 1?

More incredible is that Trump 1 was the only administration Putin was to scared of to invade Ukraine under.

Obama - Putin invaded and took Crimea

Trump 1 - 4 years of peace

Biden - Putin went all in.

Embarrassing Ill bet! Blew all the puppet narratives out the water and showcased how weak virtue signalling democrst govts are a danger to the world.

Ahh he thought his asset was going to win in 2020 trump lost he knew if trump was in office in 2020 he would have invaded Ukraine and he knew his most valuable asset wouldn’t interfere it would have been much easier as you well know.

Delusion, foolhardiness, fear of the alternative. Tempting to say they are thick but the support goes across the spectrum and there are very clever people that voted for him... or more so the idea. Hard for them to say the guy is out of line. I get it and we also need some tough policies in the UK to counter ott leftism and unrelenting illegal immigration. But not to the extent of hating the rest of the world.

I don't understand his supporters accepting the mistakes that he's making,

You mean, doing the exact opposite of what he promised - just like the last time he was POTUS?

I got the message by the end of 2017.  But, evidently, many of those who said they supported the POLICIES he ran on (both times), yet STILL "support" him, do not have any principled positions - any more than Trump ever did.  It's all "Rah, Rah, my team," and eating-up the North-Korea flavored, syrupy praise from every member of the administration - truly nauseating.

Clearly you're unacquainted with a logical fallacy: post hoc ergo propter hoc. Which translates to after this therefore because of this. Why would Putin ever fear what his fanboy might do?

Not fanboy, or really caring about peace in Ukraine, or he would not have re-started the aid which keeps the war going - though the outcome will not change.  It's over - just a question of how many more people will die before the end is "official," and whether Ukraine will have to cede even more territory, as a result of further delay.

Agree Putin's decision to invade was not to do with Trump.  In his first term, Trump increased sanctions, started lethal-aid, and unilaterally withdrew from long-standing arms-treaties with Russia.  I am not an Obama fan, but he was right that "Russia has escalatory dominance in Ukraine" - just as the USA would have, if the situation was regarding Mexico - which is why he refused the lethal-aid.

The timing was because Ukraine was firing up a new offensive (shelling already started) - after refusing to follow the Minsk Accords* - and after more talk about Ukraine joining NATO and abandoning their non-nuclear stance.

* (Ukrainian "nationalists" told Zelesnky they would not withdraw artillery - on video)

All Trump or Biden had to do to prevent this war, was to tie any further aid to following Minsk, but they chose to ignore it- as did the German and French co-signatories, and the UN-Sec-Council, which had also signed-off.  The French and Germans later admitted Minsk was just a ruse to buy time, to build up the Ukrainian military for attack.
