To understand where Karma comes from, there is an underlying philosophy that must be understood. This is the concept that something comes from nothing and nothing comes from something. You may disagree with this thought because it goes against everything you understand, and that’s alright!

Karma happens to some, but many get away with wrong doings and bad behavior until they die. That they will pay for it afterwards, believing that God has a plan for everything, has many going into the afterlife after a life of evil, not knowing or caring what happens next. Countless examples of people practicing evil and dying of old age happens, and some experience karma right away, so the only way karma is proven is that there is life after death, and those that live wrong will see it then.

Karma is not real but it is easier and more soothing for people to understand than quantum physics.

Quantum physics is the epitome of karma, with every action there’s a reaction. It’s all karma or whatever one wants to call it, it’s everywhere in everything…there’s no escape. Most just don’t realize it.

Karma is absolutely real.

I know, because I have experienced it.

The universe keeps score, and nobody can escape. Call it Karma, call it divine justice, whatever you like. It's real af.

Now as a man is like this or like that,
according as he acts and according as he behaves, so will he be;
a man of good acts will become good, a man of bad acts, bad;
he becomes pure by pure deeds, bad by bad deeds;

And here they say that a person consists of desires,
and as is his desire, so is his will;
and as is his will, so is his deed;
and whatever deed he does, that he will reap.

Long before the bible told you "Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.", the Indians already knew this long ago.

Karma is real.

I won't bother reading that.  But it's good for a laugh.

If you are nice to people they are nice back etc that's my idea of karma

Yep. For the most part. It's the intention.  ❤️

Actually your statement isn't on point.

Karma, a Sanskrit word meaning "action," refers to the principle of cause and effect, where our actions, driven by intention, lead to consequences, shaping our future experiences, often in the context of rebirth.

Here's a more detailed explanation:
  • Intention is Key:
    In many traditions, it's not just the action itself, but the intention behind it that determines the nature of the karma.

  • Not Punishment, but Learning:
    Some interpretations of karma emphasize that it's not about punishment, but rather a natural law of cause and effect, providing opportunities for growth and learning.

  • Samsara and Rebirth:
    In some belief systems, karma plays a crucial role in the cycle of rebirth (samsara), where past actions influence the nature of future lives.

  • Different Interpretations:
    While the core concept of karma as action and consequence is widely understood, different traditions and philosophies offer varying interpretations of its nature and scope.

  • Hinduism:
    In Hinduism, karma is divided into three types: Sanchita (accumulated karma), Prarabdha (karma experienced in the present life), and Kriyamana (karma created in the present life).

  • Buddhism:
    In Buddhism, karma is seen as a force that shapes the cycle of rebirth, with good actions leading to positive outcomes and bad actions leading to negative outcomes.

  • Jainism:
    Jainism views karma as a fine particulate substance that settles upon the soul (jiva) according to the deeds a person does, adding to the burden until the soul is freed through religious disciplines.

  • The Core Concept:
    Karma is essentially the idea that every action, thought, and word has a consequence, and these consequences, both positive and negative, will return to the individual.

It's a nonsense, the same as heaven and hell to keep the dim witted in their place. There is zero evidence for Karma, but plenty of evidence against it
